The vivo X500 Pro lists two standout video modes: native 4K at 240 fps for slow motion, and 4K at 120 fps in 10-bit Log. Those specifications make it a strong option to investigate for high-frame-rate capture and grading workflows, but they do not prove it outperforms other flagships. The available information does not provide comparable rival-phone tests or independent results for the X500 Pro.
What the X500 Pro lists for slow motion and Log
| Capability | vivo-listed specification | Practical meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Slow motion | Native 4K recording at 240 fps | Captures a high frame rate in-camera for slow-motion playback. vivo lists the path as Video → Movie Workshop → Super Slow Motion. |
| Log video | 4K at 120 fps, 10-bit Log | Log is intended to retain image information for post-production grading. vivo also advertises LUT output. |
| Main-camera dynamic range | Up to 17 EV in Log mode | This is vivo’s lab claim, not an independent measurement. vivo says results can vary with test conditions, software version, and individual device. |
These are manufacturer-listed capabilities, not a guarantee that every camera, lens, stabilization option, or exposure control works in each mode. The product page does not establish those operational details or sustained recording limits. See vivo’s X500 Pro specifications for the listed modes and qualifications.
How its announced workflow compares with a creator’s needs
In its September 21, 2026 announcement, vivo also named 10-bit 4:2:2 APV encoding, ACES support, and collaboration with DaVinci Resolve for official color conversion. These are announced workflow-support claims; they do not independently establish interoperability, conversion quality, or the resulting footage’s image quality. The announcement is at vivo’s X500 series imaging and video announcement.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteFor a creator, the distinction matters: a specification describes a capture mode, while a dependable production workflow also depends on which lens supports it, exposure and focus behavior, stabilization, clip duration, file handling, and successful conversion in the software being used. The available X500 Pro materials do not settle those questions.

Can it be ranked against other flagship phones?
Not on the evidence available here. A fair comparison needs equivalent modes and recording conditions for every phone, rather than a comparison of headline numbers alone. Check:
- Slow-motion maximum resolution and frame rate, and whether the advertised frame rate is captured natively or generated through processing.
- Log resolution, frame rate, bit depth, chroma sampling, codec, and supported color-conversion workflow.
- Which rear cameras and focal lengths can record each mode.
- Whether stabilization, autofocus, and exposure controls remain available at the highest frame rates.
- Clip limits, heat behavior, storage use, and required firmware under comparable conditions.
- Current price, exact model variant, and availability in your country.
The sources cited here do not establish those details for rival phones or provide independent X500 Pro performance tests. The X500 Pro’s listed modes therefore support a feature comparison, not a claim that its footage is better than a competitor’s.

China launch price and the optional teleconverter
vivo announced the X500 series in Shanghai on September 21, 2026, and said the X500 Pro would go on sale in China on September 29 from CNY 6,499. That launch information does not establish a global launch, current stock, or a price in another country. See the vivo launch announcement.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
The separately sold 200 mm-equivalent ZEISS Teleconverter G2 is compatible with the X500 series, according to vivo’s product page. It is an accessory for telephoto framing, not a requirement for Log or slow-motion recording. IT Home reported a CNY 999 suggested price and limited sales from September 24, 2026, in China; that dated report does not establish current availability elsewhere. See IT Home’s G2 pricing report.
