In the India listings reviewed, the vivo X300 is the higher-priced phone, while the OPPO Reno16 5G has the larger stated battery and longer optical telephoto zoom. The listed prices are for different memory and storage configurations: vivo showed ₹93,999 for its 16GB+512GB X300, but that selected variant was marked unavailable; OPPO listed the Reno16 5G at ₹66,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB+256GB. These are manufacturer-store prices, not guaranteed current transaction prices.
India specifications at a glance
This comparison uses the India vivo X300 listing and the India OPPO Reno16 5G, model CPH2865. It does not assume that phones with these names sold in other countries have identical configurations. Specifications below are manufacturer-published figures, not independent test results.

India prices and the configuration difference
Prices are not a direct like-for-like comparison because the listed configurations differ. OPPO’s India page stated that its prices were correct as of 31 August 2026 and may change. vivo’s store displayed the X300 16GB+512GB at ₹93,999 when accessed, but marked that selected configuration unavailable.

Before buying, check the live price, stock, and exact configuration on the manufacturer’s store or a retailer. The figures above do not establish an ongoing discount or the price of other X300 configurations.
Which phone has the better performance?
The X300 lists a MediaTek Dimensity 9500, while the India Reno16 5G lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Those chip names identify different platforms, but the cited manufacturer specifications do not provide a controlled, directly comparable benchmark. They are not enough to quantify a speed or gaming advantage. For a decision based on demanding games or sustained workloads, look for independent tests of these exact regional models rather than inferring performance from the processor names alone.
How do the cameras differ?
The X300’s main camera has a higher stated resolution: 200MP, compared with 50MP on the Reno16 5G. Both list 50MP ultrawide and telephoto cameras with optical image stabilization (OIS). The Reno16 5G specifies 3.5× optical telephoto zoom, versus 3× on the X300. OPPO also specifies a 50MP autofocus front camera; vivo’s global specification lists a 50MP front camera, while its India product page highlights video recording support.

Display size and refresh rate
The X300 has a 6.31-inch AMOLED display; the Reno16 5G has a 6.05-inch AMOLED display and an explicitly listed refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Both India listings give a 2640 × 1216 resolution. The supplied X300 India specifications do not state a refresh rate, so this comparison cannot establish a refresh-rate advantage for it.
Battery capacity and charging
OPPO lists the Reno16 5G at 6700mAh typical capacity and 6490mAh rated capacity. vivo lists 6040mAh typical capacity for the X300. The Reno16 therefore has the larger stated typical capacity, but capacity figures alone do not prove longer real-world battery life: usage, network conditions, display settings, and software affect endurance.
The listed wired charging rates are 90W FlashCharge for vivo and 80W SUPERVOOC for OPPO. Wattage alone does not establish how long a phone takes to charge. OPPO’s India box listing says a charger is included; no comparable charger-in-box claim is established here for the X300.

- Consider the vivo X300 if you want the listed Dimensity 9500 platform, a 200MP main camera, or the available 512GB storage configurations—and if the price and stock for your chosen variant work for you.
- Consider the OPPO Reno16 5G if you prefer its lower listed India prices, larger stated typical battery, or 3.5× optical telephoto specification. Confirm that the listing is for model CPH2865, not another Reno16-series model.
- For camera quality, gaming, or battery life, do not treat the specifications as test results. Compare independent evidence for the exact regional variants and the way you use a phone.
Why region and model number matter
OPPO says the Reno16 5G sold in India is model CPH2865 and that other Reno16 models sold elsewhere have different specifications and prices. Its global announcement also notes that “Pricing, regional availability and release timing will vary by market.” Check the model number and local product page before applying this India comparison to a phone sold elsewhere.
vivo’s China page lists recommended prices from CNY 4,599 to CNY 6,299 across five configurations and gives October 2025 as the X300 launch month. Those are China recommended prices, not India or global launch prices; the India store listing uses a different configuration set.
