The vivo X300 Ultra is specified as a premium, camera-focused phone, while Motorola’s moto g max pairs a larger listed battery with a more modest camera configuration. The key differences are the display, camera hardware, processor and charging; there is no fair official price difference to calculate without matching country and configuration. Motorola’s specification page calls the model “moto g max,” so check that this is the device sold under the “moto g max 5G” name in your market.

These are manufacturer specifications, not results from comparable independent testing. Megapixel counts, battery capacity, refresh rate and charging wattage alone do not establish image quality, battery endurance, smoothness or overall speed.
Display: higher resolution and adaptive refresh on vivo
vivo lists a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel at 3168 × 1440 with an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 144Hz. Motorola lists a slightly smaller 6.72-inch LCD at 2400 × 1080 with a 120Hz refresh rate. On paper, the vivo has the higher resolution and broader stated refresh range; actual viewing experience also depends on factors not established by these specifications.

The X300 Ultra’s listed rear cameras are a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 200MP telephoto. vivo also advertises video capability including 4K recording at 120 frames per second, and describes an optional Photographer Kit with telephoto extenders and an imaging grip. Kit contents and availability may vary by market.

The moto g max specification page lists a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide. This makes the vivo the more camera-focused option by stated hardware and advertised features, but the figures do not prove that it takes better photos or video. No direct image-quality comparison is established here.
Performance: different Snapdragon platforms, no direct benchmark
vivo specifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while Motorola specifies the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. The chip names indicate different platform positioning, but the cited manufacturer specifications provide no comparable benchmark results. They are not enough to quantify the speed difference in particular apps, games or sustained workloads.
Battery and charging: capacity is not runtime
Motorola lists a 7000mAh battery and 30W charging for the moto g max. vivo lists a 6600mAh typical battery, 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging for the X300 Ultra. The Motorola has the larger stated capacity; vivo lists faster charging options and wireless charging. Those specifications do not determine which phone lasts longer between charges, since real-world endurance depends on use and other factors.

Price difference: official figures are not like-for-like
vivo’s India online store lists ₹159,999 for the X300 Ultra with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. This is a market- and configuration-specific listing, not a universal price. Motorola’s cited official specifications page does not state a price for the moto g max, so an official India-versus-India or other same-market price gap cannot be calculated from these figures.

These are China prices for the named configurations, not prices to compare directly with the India listing. To work out a genuine price difference, compare live prices for both phones in the same country and specify storage, seller and local variant.

- Consider the vivo X300 Ultra if its higher-resolution AMOLED display, extensive camera specifications, advertised high-frame-rate video, wireless charging or Photographer Kit match your priorities and local price.
- Consider the moto g max if the larger stated battery capacity is more relevant to you and its display and camera specifications suit your needs.
Before buying, confirm the exact local model name and configuration: Motorola says specifications can vary by market, and its official page uses “moto g max,” not “moto g max 5G.”
