The vivo X500 Pro Max has the higher listed China starting price and the larger, higher-resolution, faster-refresh display; its China specification sheet also lists a larger battery and newer Dimensity 9600 Pro platform. The X300 Pro’s listed China entry price is ¥1,400 lower for the same 12 GB/256 GB configuration. These are manufacturer-listed China prices, not current street prices or a like-for-like price comparison for every country.
Specs at a glance
The table puts the X300 Pro’s Global/India specifications alongside the X500 Pro Max’s China specifications. They describe different regional documentation and configurations, not necessarily the exact versions sold in any one buyer’s market.

On the vivo China listings, the X500 Pro Max starts at ¥6,999 for 12 GB/256 GB, versus ¥5,599 for the X300 Pro’s 12 GB/256 GB listing: a ¥1,400 difference between those entry configurations. The X500 Pro Max’s other China-listed options are:

The reviewed sources do not establish an X500 Pro Max price or availability outside China, so check the local vivo store and authorized retailers before treating this as a purchase comparison.
Which display and platform stand out?
On paper, the X500 Pro Max is slightly larger at 6.85 inches and has a 3168 × 1440 resolution with refresh rates up to 144 Hz. The X300 Pro is 6.78 inches, 2800 × 1260, and supports adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh. A higher maximum refresh rate or resolution does not by itself establish better brightness, color accuracy, or battery efficiency; those comparative measurements are not provided in the cited specifications.
The X500 Pro Max lists a Dimensity 9600 Pro, while vivo’s Global and India pages list a Dimensity 9500 for the X300 Pro. Those model names indicate different platforms, but the available manufacturer specifications do not establish a measured day-to-day speed or thermal advantage.

Battery and charging depend on the region
The X500 Pro Max China page lists an 8000 mAh typical-capacity battery and 7800 mAh rated capacity. The X300 Pro should not be assigned one universal battery figure: vivo Global lists 6510 mAh outside Europe and 5440 mAh in Europe, while vivo India lists 6510 mAh. Battery capacity alone does not establish real-world runtime.
Both product specifications list up to 90 W wired and 40 W wireless charging for the X500 Pro Max; the X300 Pro Global page qualifies its up-to-40 W wireless figure as requiring the vivo Vertical Wireless Charger 2. vivo India specifies 90 W FlashCharge. Actual charging experience depends on the market version, compatible accessories, and conditions; no comparative charging test is established here.

vivo China describes the X500 Pro Max as having a 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera and says the phone supports the ZEISS teleconverter G2 Ultra for an equivalent 400 mm focal length. The announcement also claims 4K recording at 240 frames per second for slow motion and “8K native Live” capture. vivo gives technical headline figures of “17 EV” dynamic range and “0.75e-” readout noise. These are manufacturer claims and specifications, not independent measurements or evidence that its photos outperform the X300 Pro in every situation.

If the teleconverter matters to your choice, include its separate cost and local availability in the comparison and confirm that the specific accessory is compatible with the model sold in your market. The cited material does not provide a controlled camera comparison or battery, thermal, or performance testing between the phones.

vivo’s September 21, 2026 announcement says the X500 series runs OriginOS 7 and gives China sale dates of September 24 for the X500 and X500 Pro Max, and September 29 for the X500 Pro. The reviewed official material does not establish international X500 Pro Max availability, pricing, warranty coverage, supported network bands outside China, or software configuration for other markets.
Before choosing between them, verify the facts that affect ownership in your country:
