vivo X300 FE: smaller and sharper on paper
The 6.31-inch AMOLED panel is the more compact option and has a stated resolution of 2640×1216, with a 120Hz refresh rate. That combination makes the vivo the more suitable specification choice for someone who prefers a smaller screen and wants an AMOLED panel.

Redmi A7 Pro 5G: more room for viewing
The Redmi’s 6.9-inch display gives it the larger viewing area, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi promotes the screen size and refresh rate; 91mobiles identifies the panel as LCD and lists its resolution as 900×1600. The larger size may better fit readers who prioritize screen space, while the listed panel and resolution differ from the vivo’s.
Performance, memory, and storage
vivo specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and offers 8GB or 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage. Xiaomi’s product page describes an octa-core 5G processor but does not name it in the textual specifications. 91mobiles identifies the Redmi’s chipset as Unisoc T8300; treat that as secondary-source information rather than Xiaomi’s own stated specification.
The store configurations reviewed are not like-for-like: the vivo listing is 8GB+256GB, while Xiaomi’s Black listing is 4GB+64GB. The vivo therefore has substantially higher listed memory and storage in those selections. Specifications alone do not establish real-world speed; no controlled hands-on comparison is available here.
Camera hardware: vivo has more dedicated options
The X300 FE lists three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, and an 8MP wide-angle camera. Its front camera is 50MP with autofocus. The dedicated telephoto lens gives the vivo a more versatile listed camera arrangement, particularly for zoom-oriented framing.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Battery capacity and charging
vivo rates the X300 FE battery at 6,500mAh typical and 6,350mAh minimum, and specifies up to 90W FlashCharge when used with vivo’s original charger and cable. Xiaomi lists a 6,300mAh battery, 15W charging, and 7.5W wired reverse charging for the Redmi. These capacity and charging figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in daily use; battery duration depends on use and needs direct testing.
Software versions and update commitments
Both India product pages identify Android 16: vivo pairs it with OriginOS 6, while Xiaomi lists Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Xiaomi explicitly states four OS updates and six years of security patches for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. The reviewed vivo India specification page does not state a support duration, so the available information does not support a direct comparison of their promised update periods.

Which one should you choose?
