They are not close substitutes on specifications alone, and a reliable price difference requires checking current prices for matching configurations in India.

Choose the vivo X300 FE for a smaller phone and more camera flexibility
On the published dimensions, the X300 FE is narrower, shorter and lighter than the P4x. Its 6.31-inch AMOLED screen is also smaller than realme’s 6.72-inch display. For photography hardware, vivo specifies a separate stabilized 50 MP telephoto camera in addition to the main and wide-angle cameras. The realme page specifies a 50 MP AI camera but does not establish an equivalent telephoto system. That difference describes the listed hardware, not a guarantee of better photos.
vivo also lists 90 W wired charging and promotes 40 W wireless charging. The compatible ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is a separate purchase, according to vivo; regional availability should be checked before buying. [vivo X300 FE extender information]

Choose the realme P4x for a larger screen and higher listed battery capacity
realme’s 6.72-inch display gives it more screen area on paper, and its stated 144 Hz refresh rate is higher than vivo’s 120 Hz. realme also lists a 7,000 mAh battery, compared with the X300 FE’s 6,500 mAh typical capacity. These specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer: battery life depends on use and conditions, and no comparable endurance testing is available here.
The P4x’s 45 W charging rating is lower than vivo’s 90 W wired figure. Rated wattage alone does not establish real-world charge time; compatible charger, conditions and the charging curve matter.
Do not decide by processor name or megapixels alone
The phones use different chipsets: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on the X300 FE and Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G on the P4x. Without matched independent benchmarks, sustained-performance tests or workload comparisons, these specifications do not support a measured speed verdict. Likewise, camera resolution by itself cannot establish image quality.

What is the price difference in India?
vivo’s India e-store displayed ₹94,999 for the X300 FE 12 GB + 256 GB 5G variant on October 7, 2026. That is a dated listing for one configuration, not a guaranteed current price. [vivo India e-store]
The reviewed official realme India product page lists P4x specifications but no current price. A third-party comparison page showed price observations of ₹21,895 for the P4x and ₹89,999 for the X300 FE, but these snapshots may be stale and may not represent matching variants or current offers.
