The vivo X300 FE and realme P4 Lite are aimed at very different buyers in India: the X300 FE is a compact premium 5G phone, while the officially listed P4 Lite is a basic 4G model with a lower launch price and expandable storage. The launch-price gap between their base configurations was ₹70,000. First, check the model name carefully: realme’s official specification page is for the P4 Lite (4G), not the separately named P4 Lite 5G.

Sources for the specifications: vivo India’s product specifications and launch announcement, and realme India’s specification and product pages. A larger screen does not mean a sharper or higher-grade display: the P4 Lite’s panel is physically larger, but the X300 FE has a higher-resolution AMOLED screen. Capacity figures also do not establish which phone lasts longer in use.

Comparing the base launch configurations, the X300 FE cost ₹70,000 more than the P4 Lite at launch. Across the listed configurations, the vivo’s announced price was roughly 6.7 to 8 times the realme’s, depending on which capacities are compared. Retail prices, offers, stock and configuration availability can change; these launch figures should not be treated as a live quote.

Which phone has the better camera?

On listed camera hardware, the X300 FE is substantially more versatile: it has separate main, telephoto and wide-angle rear cameras, optical image stabilisation on the main and telephoto cameras, and a 50MP front camera. The P4 Lite’s official specification page lists one 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.

That describes hardware, not proven photo quality. No same-condition independent camera comparison is established here, so megapixel counts and the presence of a telephoto lens should not be mistaken for a measured image-quality result.

Optional telephoto accessory

vivo’s May 2026 launch announcement listed the X300 FE-compatible ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 at a launch price of ₹15,999, sold separately and available at select retailers. It may suit buyers prioritising telephoto photography, but it adds to the system cost.

Display, size and everyday trade-offs

The P4 Lite gives you more physical screen area, at 6.74 inches, which may appeal if you prefer a larger phone for viewing content. The X300 FE is the more compact option at 6.31 inches and has the sharper AMOLED panel, higher refresh rate and higher listed resolution. Choose by the size and panel characteristics you value; the display specifications alone do not establish a real-world viewing test.

The listed weights are 191g for the X300 FE and 201g for the P4 Lite. The available P4 Lite specifications also give a thickness of 7.94mm; no X300 FE thickness figure is stated here.

Performance, network and storage

The chipset specifications place these phones in distinctly different tiers: the X300 FE lists a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the P4 Lite lists a 12nm UNISOC T7250. Those specifications support describing the vivo as the higher-end hardware option, but no independent benchmark or hands-on speed test is established here.

The network difference is straightforward: the X300 FE supports 5G, while the official P4 Lite listing is for a 4G phone. The P4 Lite does offer a microSD option through its shared SIM slot, giving buyers a way to expand storage; confirm that the slot arrangement and local operator bands suit your needs.

Battery capacity, charging and protection

The realme’s typical battery rating is 6300mAh, compared with 6500mAh typical for the vivo. The X300 FE lists faster wired charging at 90W, while the P4 Lite lists 15W charging and 6W reverse wired charging. These are capacity and charging specifications—not a same-method battery endurance comparison. Actual runtime depends on factors such as screen, chipset, software, network conditions and use.

For protection, vivo lists IP68/IP69 for the X300 FE. realme lists IP54 for the P4 Lite and says it passed a MIL-STD 810H shock-resistance test, while warning that the phone should not be immersed and can still be damaged in a fall. That test claim is not a guarantee against damage or a substitute for careful handling.

Which should you choose?

Choose the vivo X300 FE if

  • Your budget supports a compact premium phone and you want the higher-end listed chipset, sharper AMOLED display and 5G.
  • You value a multi-camera setup that includes a stabilised telephoto camera, or want the option of vivo’s separately sold telephoto extender.
  • Faster listed wired charging and higher listed ingress-protection ratings are priorities.

Choose the realme P4 Lite (4G) if

  • Keeping the initial purchase cost low matters more than premium-tier specifications.
  • You want a larger screen, a high-capacity battery rating or microSD expansion, and 4G is sufficient for your use.
  • You are comfortable with the lower-resolution LCD and simpler listed camera hardware.

This is a specification-based fit comparison, not a hands-on verdict. Check the exact model and current local listing before buying, especially if a seller labels a device “P4 Lite 5G”: that is not the 4G P4 Lite covered by realme’s official specification page here.
