The vivo X300 FE is the stronger phone on paper. It uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, has a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera, and comes in a compact 6.31-inch body. The OPPO K14x 5G is the value option: it has a larger 120Hz LCD, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, and a much lower listed price. Which one is the better buy depends on whether you want a compact, flagship-class phone or a bigger screen for less money.

Everything below comes from manufacturer specifications and India price listings. No hands-on, camera, battery, or benchmark testing was done for this comparison, so the sections on performance, camera, and battery explain what the figures can and cannot tell you.

Price difference: what the listings show

The two phones are priced in different tiers, but the figures available for them come from different kinds of sources and dates. Read the table with those differences in mind.

Phone and configuration Price shown Source and date
vivo X300 FE 12GB+256GB (Lilac Purple) ₹89,999 vivo Official E-Store India, displayed on 7 October 2026. A live store price, not a launch figure.
vivo X300 FE 12GB+256GB ₹79,999 vivo launch announcement, 2026. Launch price only.
vivo X300 FE 12GB+512GB ₹89,999 vivo launch announcement, 2026. Launch price only.
vivo X300 FE 12GB+256GB ₹94,999 Secondary listing on 91mobiles comparison page. Seller and date not stated.
OPPO K14x 5G (configuration not stated) ₹17,399 Secondary retailer figure from a comparison search result. Not an official OPPO price; date not stated.

Why the two prices are not directly comparable

The X300 FE’s official store price and launch price differ for the same 12GB+256GB configuration, and a third listing shows ₹94,999. The vivo figures are therefore a range that moves with seller and date, not a fixed price. Before buying either phone, compare the exact memory configuration and the live listing.

OPPO’s official K14x page lists 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB, and 6GB+128GB, but the captured sources do not give an official price for any of them. The ₹17,399 figure is the only K14x price in the comparison, and it does not state which configuration it refers to.

How big the gap looks

On those two numbers alone, the X300 FE’s ₹89,999 store price is ₹72,600 higher than the K14x’s ₹17,399. That gap is not a like-for-like price difference, because the K14x figure is unverified and the memory configurations differ. The X300 FE’s base memory is 8GB, while the K14x’s is 4GB. If you add the optional telephoto extender, vivo’s launch price for it is ₹15,999, which would widen the difference further.

Chipset and performance: a tier difference, not a benchmark result

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and the Dimensity 6300 sit in different performance tiers. The X300 FE also pairs its chipset with newer memory (LPDDR5X Ultra) and storage (UFS 4.1) than the K14x’s LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2. Those specifications point to faster sustained performance and quicker storage access on the X300 FE, but the sources do not measure how much faster either phone is in day-to-day use.

The 91mobiles comparison reports benchmark numbers for both phones. Those results do not name an independent testing publisher, a test method, or a date, so they are not used as evidence here.

Camera: telephoto versus a main-plus-mono setup

The X300 FE’s headline camera is its 50MP ZEISS telephoto lens, which is a different kind of camera from the K14x’s 50MP main sensor. The K14x also has a 2MP monochrome sensor, which is a secondary sensor rather than a second full-quality lens. Comparing the two phones by megapixel count alone would not tell you which one takes better photos.

The ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is an optional accessory. vivo’s product note says it is compatible with the X300 FE and must be purchased separately, so it is not included in the box. The launch price vivo announced for the extender is ₹15,999, and its current availability and price should be checked before you plan around it.

Battery and charging: same capacity, different charging speeds

Both phones list a typical battery capacity of 6500mAh. The X300 FE supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, while the K14x supports up to 45W SUPERVOOC. Charging speed and battery capacity do not decide how long a phone lasts on a single charge. Screen size and refresh rate, the chipset, and how you use the phone all affect real endurance, and the sources do not include an independent battery test for either model. Neither phone can be ranked on battery life from these figures.

Software and update support

91mobiles reports Android 16 for the X300 FE and Android 15 for the K14x. Neither official product page used for this comparison confirms those versions, and the sources do not establish each brand’s update commitments for these phones. If update support matters to you, check the software version and support policy for your region with vivo and OPPO before buying.

Which phone to choose

Choose the vivo X300 FE if you want:

  • A flagship-class Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset with newer memory and storage
  • A compact 6.31-inch phone that weighs 191g
  • A dedicated 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera, with the optional extender if you want more reach
  • 12GB of memory, if you can pay the store price

Choose the OPPO K14x 5G if you want:

  • A larger 6.75-inch screen with up to 120Hz refresh
  • Basic everyday performance on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300
  • A much lower listed price, provided you accept 4GB to 6GB of memory and an HD+ LCD

Confirm the exact memory configuration and live price for both phones before you decide. If you cannot confirm a K14x price from OPPO’s own store, treat the ₹17,399 figure as a rough indication only.
