In India, the vivo X200T’s launch price for its 12GB+256GB version is ₹59,999. The vivo T5 5G’s listed 6GB+128GB version is ₹34,999 on vivo’s India store, against a stated MRP of ₹49,999. That ₹25,000 gap is real, but it compares different memory and storage tiers, so it overstates the like-for-like difference.
On paper, the X200T is the higher-tier phone: a flagship-class MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, a listed telephoto camera and faster charging. The T5 5G costs less, has the larger screen and lists the bigger battery. Which one is the better buy depends on what you weigh most.
What the ₹25,000 price gap actually compares
The two prices come from different kinds of sources, and neither is a guaranteed checkout amount.
- vivo X200T: vivo India’s launch announcement gives ₹59,999 for the 12GB+256GB model and ₹69,999 for the 12GB+512GB model. These are launch prices. When vivo’s own X200T store page was checked for this article, it did not show a stable current price or a clear stock status, so treat the launch figures as a reference point rather than a price you will pay today. Launch-period offers mentioned in the announcement were time-limited and subject to their terms.
- vivo T5 5G: vivo India’s store listing shows the 6GB+128GB model at ₹34,999 with an MRP of ₹49,999. Prices for its other RAM and storage combinations are not stated on the page checked.
The closest like-for-like point in the sources is storage: both phones are listed at 256GB. The X200T’s 256GB price is ₹59,999, but the T5 5G’s 256GB price was not stated, so the matching-storage gap cannot be calculated from the evidence. The headline ₹25,000 difference is best read as the gap between a 12GB-RAM flagship-tier model and a 6GB-RAM entry configuration.

Processor and memory
The X200T uses the Dimensity 9400+, which sits in a higher hardware tier than the Dimensity 7500 Turbo in the T5 5G. Its listed 12GB of RAM is also the minimum across its variants, while the T5 5G starts at 6GB.

This is a comparison of listed hardware tiers. It does not report benchmark scores, gaming frame rates or heat behaviour, and those results should be checked in reviews that test both phones under the same conditions. If you plan to play demanding games for long sessions, the chip tier matters more than the headline price.

Display
Both phones use a 2800×1260 AMOLED panel. The T5 5G’s screen is larger, at 6.83 inches against 6.67 inches for the X200T. The difference is visible in one-handed use and in video, but the resolution is the same, so the T5 5G does not offer a sharper picture, only more screen area.
Cameras
The X200T lists three 50MP rear cameras, and its telephoto lens is the feature vivo highlights most. The T5 5G lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera, with no telephoto.

Megapixel counts and lens lists do not show which phone takes better photos. Sensor size, processing, low-light performance and colour tuning all affect results, and this comparison does not include side-by-side image testing. If zoom photography matters to you, the X200T’s telephoto lens is the clearest listed difference. If you mainly shoot wide-angle scenes, the T5 5G’s listing is less complete on paper but may still suit you.
Battery and charging
The T5 5G lists 7050mAh, and the X200T lists 6200mAh as a typical figure with 6060mAh as its rated capacity. These numbers are not directly comparable, because the two brands state capacity differently. Neither figure predicts how long a phone lasts, since screen size, chip efficiency and software all matter.

Charging is where the X200T’s listing is stronger. It supports 90W wired and 40W wireless FlashCharge, while the T5 5G is listed at 44W wired and does not state wireless charging on the page checked.
Other differences
The X200T has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and lists Wi-Fi 7 in addition to Wi-Fi 6. It is also slightly heavier, at 203g or 205g depending on colour, against the T5 5G’s 199g. Both phones list Bluetooth 5.4 and a 32MP front camera.

Which phone fits which priorities
Choose the vivo X200T if
- You want the higher-tier Dimensity 9400+ chip and 12GB of RAM as a baseline.
- The telephoto camera matters for how you shoot.
- You want the faster listed wired and wireless charging.
- You are willing to pay a higher price and can confirm a current price for the variant you want.
vivo India’s Head of Product Management, Vikas Tagra, described the X200T as combining “the ZEISS imaging expertise with strong performance and refined software experiences.” That is vivo’s own positioning, not an independent assessment.
Choose the vivo T5 5G if
- Spending less is the priority and a 6GB or 8GB configuration meets your needs.
- You prefer a larger 6.83-inch screen.
- A higher stated battery capacity is important to you, bearing in mind that capacity alone does not show runtime.
- You do not need a telephoto lens or the fastest listed charging.
The T5 5G’s top configuration reaches 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which narrows the memory gap with the X200T. Its price at that configuration was not stated on the page checked, so compare it directly before deciding.
Quick Recap
Before you buy: check the variant and price
- Pick the exact RAM and storage combination you want. The X200T comes in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. The T5 5G comes in 6GB, 8GB or 12GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage, depending on the variant.
- Compare prices for the same variant. If you want 256GB storage on both phones, check the T5 5G’s 256GB price on vivo’s India store rather than relying on the ₹34,999 base figure.
- Check stock and seller on vivo’s India store or an authorised retailer, and read the final price at checkout, including any offers and their terms.
- Confirm the region and variant match your needs for network bands, warranty and bundled items.
- If you buy the X200T, vivo lists an ultrasonic tempered glass protector for it. Check the product listing for compatibility before adding one to your order.
