The vivo X200T is the stronger phone on paper: a higher-tier MediaTek chip, 12GB of RAM, three 50MP rear cameras and much faster charging. The vivo S2 5G has the larger screen and the higher rated battery capacity, and on the listings checked for this comparison it costs about ₹20,000 less. The right choice depends on whether you want hardware headroom and camera range or screen size, battery capacity and a lower price.
This comparison uses manufacturer specifications from vivo India for the core hardware and software details, and third-party comparison-page figures for benchmarks and prices. No hands-on testing is covered here, so the performance and battery figures below describe what is published, not what you will experience day to day.
Full specification comparison
The table lists the values published on vivo India’s parameter pages for both phones. Where a value is a typical or minimum figure, the table says so.
| Feature | vivo X200T | vivo S2 5G | What the difference means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chipset | MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, 3nm process | MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo, 4nm process | The X200T sits in a higher hardware tier. Published tier alone does not guarantee a specific speed in apps or games. |
| RAM and storage | 12GB RAM; 256GB or 512GB; LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1 | 8GB RAM; 128GB or 256GB; LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 | The X200T offers more memory and a higher storage ceiling. Neither official page lists expandable internal storage. |
| Display | 6.67-inch AMOLED, 2800×1260, up to 120Hz, 5000 nits local peak brightness | 6.83-inch AMOLED, 2800×1260, up to 120Hz, 3000 nits local peak brightness | The S2 is the larger screen. The X200T’s higher peak figure is a manufacturer specification, not an independent measurement. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main with OIS, 50MP telephoto, 50MP ultra-wide | 50MP main and 2MP secondary; no ultra-wide listed | The X200T covers more focal lengths, including a dedicated telephoto and ultra-wide camera. |
| Front camera | 32MP | 32MP | Same headline resolution. Resolution alone does not establish image quality. |
| Battery | 6200mAh typical (6060mAh minimum) | 7050mAh typical | The S2 has the larger rated capacity. Rated capacity alone does not establish real-world endurance. |
| Charging | 90W wired FlashCharge; 40W wireless FlashCharge | 44W wired charging; wireless charging not listed | The X200T charges faster by wire and supports wireless charging. |
| Build | Glass back; 203–205g; IP68/IP69 | Plastic-composite back; 197–199g; IP68/IP69 | The S2 is slightly lighter. Both list the same IP68/IP69 water and dust ratings. |
| Fingerprint reader | 3D ultrasonic | Optical in-display | Different sensor technologies; the published specifications do not compare their speed or accuracy. |
| Operating system | Android 16, OriginOS 6 | Android 16, OriginOS 6 | Same software base at launch. Update commitments differ in how they are documented (see the software section). |

#1 Best Overall
- Includes a high-definition 9H screen protector made from 9H-hardness tempered glass, which effectively resists everyday scuffs, key scratches and accidental knocks, keeping your screen looking as good as new for years to come
- Military-grade drop protection: a hard PC back panel and soft TPU frame combined with shock-absorbing air cushions, plus raised edges to protect the screen and camera lens, providing robust defence against drops, knocks and everyday wear and tear.
- Smooth sliding, secure latching: Precision runners + anti-loosening latches ensure smooth, jam-free sliding and a secure, spring-loaded lock that won’t pop open, making them durable and long-lasting.
- Precise cut-outs, slim and non-slip: Full-featured, precise cut-outs that do not interfere with charging or photography; slim with a textured finish for a non-slip grip, portable and not bulky.
- Innovative 2-in-1 sliding cover and stand: the sliding lens cover doubles as a sturdy folding stand; slide it open to protect against scratches and dust, and close it to instantly transform it into a viewing stand, leaving your hands free for binge-watching or video calls
Processor, memory and storage
The X200T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ on a 3nm process, while the S2 uses the Dimensity 7360-Turbo on 4nm. The gap is one of published tier. It shows that the X200T is built for heavier multitasking and demanding workloads, but it is not a measured performance result.
RAM and storage
The X200T pairs 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra memory with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The S2 pairs 8GB of LPDDR4X with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1. If you plan to keep large media libraries or many games installed, the X200T’s higher storage ceiling matters. Neither vivo page lists a microSD slot or expandable storage, so the capacity you buy is the capacity you get.
Display
Both phones use a 2800×1260 AMOLED panel that refreshes up to 120Hz. The S2’s screen is 6.83 inches, against 6.67 inches on the X200T, so it offers more viewing area without a change in resolution. Peak brightness is listed at 5000 nits local peak on the X200T and 3000 nits on the S2. Both figures come from vivo’s own specifications, and manufacturers measure local peak brightness under conditions that do not reflect typical outdoor use, so treat them as a directional comparison.

- Compatible with Vivo X200 Pro ,Compatible with MagSafe

- Anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint The frosted back is specially designed to protect against fingerprints, watermarks, oil and dust, keeping it clean and tidy.
- Compatible with MagSafe ,with magnetic adsorption, such as wireless charger, magnetic car mount, magnetic battery pack, magnetic wallet, etc. You just need to put the cell phone You only need to put your cell phone on the charger, no need to remove the case. The perfectly aligned magnetic field attraction makes wireless charging faster and more stable. (Must have wireless charging on the phone itself)
- Precise cutouts are designed for easy access to all ports, buttons and camera. The buttons are soft, responsive and easy to press, and are easy to install and remove.
Cameras
The X200T has three 50MP rear cameras: a main camera with optical image stabilisation, a telephoto and an ultra-wide. The S2 has a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera, and vivo’s official specification does not list an ultra-wide. If you shoot wide landscapes, group photos or want a dedicated zoom lens, the X200T is the only one of the two with that hardware on its published specifications. Both phones have a 32MP front camera.
Battery and charging
The S2 has the larger rated battery at 7050mAh typical, about 850mAh more than the X200T’s 6200mAh typical. The X200T’s minimum rating is 6060mAh. The two phones differ more sharply on charging: the X200T is rated for 90W wired and 40W wireless FlashCharge, while the S2 is rated for 44W wired charging, with no wireless charging listed on its specification page.
Charging speed and battery capacity pull in different directions. The S2 holds more energy in its battery, but the X200T can refill it much faster by cable. Neither page reports endurance figures from a defined test, so the rated numbers do not tell you how long either phone will last between charges.
Rank #3
- [360-degree rotatable ring mount] with multi-angle support, it makes watching videos and films both convenient and comfortable, offering an enviable viewing experience.
- 3D multi-directional shape change, depending on different light and angle
- PC hard back panel + soft silicone frame + four corners Shock Airbags
- The frosted surface prevents most fingerprints and the 3D design is stylish
- The ring mount features a magnetic ring, allowing you to use it in your car or for other magnetic applications
Build, protection and fingerprint reader
The X200T has a glass back and weighs 203–205g. The S2 has a plastic-composite back and weighs 197–199g. Both carry IP68 and IP69 ratings on vivo’s specification pages, so both are rated against dust and high-pressure water jets. The fingerprint readers differ: the X200T uses a 3D ultrasonic sensor, and the S2 uses an optical sensor under the display.

Both phones ship with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. The difference is in what vivo has committed to for future updates. vivo’s S2 overview states that the phone will “Receive 3 generations of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.” That is a vendor statement from vivo India, not an independent assessment. The X200T pages establish its current software version, but they do not state an update duration. Before you rely on long-term support for the X200T, check vivo India’s current update policy for your region.
Benchmark and battery figures from a third-party comparison page
91mobiles’ comparison page reports AnTuTu scores of 2,821,319 for the X200T and 956,029 for the S2, both listed as accessed in 2026. It also reports PCMark battery results of 16h 14m for the X200T and 14h 57m for the S2, a gap of about 1h 17m. The page does not state the test conditions, device firmware or number of runs behind these figures, and they have not been reproduced independently for this article. Use them as an indication that the X200T is the faster and more efficient-looking device on that page, not as a verified ranking.

The two phones were not priced on the same page, so the gap is indicative rather than a like-for-like checkout comparison.
| Model and variant | Price shown | Where it was shown | Stock or status |
|---|---|---|---|
| vivo X200T 12GB + 256GB | ₹59,999 | vivo India Store product page | Not stated for this variant |
| vivo X200T 12GB + 512GB | ₹69,999 | vivo India Store product page | The selected product page showed this variant as out of stock when accessed |
| vivo S2 5G (8GB + 128GB or 256GB variant not specified) | ₹39,950 | 91mobiles comparison page, Amazon listing | Not stated; comparison-page figure, not a verified live Amazon offer |
Comparing the S2’s listed ₹39,950 with the X200T 256GB price of ₹59,999 gives an indicative gap of ₹20,049. Against the 512GB variant the same arithmetic gives ₹30,049. Neither figure is a stable price difference, because retailers change prices, discounts run and variants sell out. The X200T store page also lists a charger, case and applied protective film in the box; those items are included with the phone and are not required extras.
Prices and stock on both listings were observed at the time of the comparison and can change without notice. Check them before buying.

How to recheck the price before you buy
- Open the vivo India Store X200T listing and select the storage variant you want (256GB or 512GB). Confirm the price and the stock status shown for that exact variant.
- Open the S2 listing on vivo India’s official site and note the storage variant and price shown there. Do not rely on a comparison-page figure alone.
- If you are comparing with an Amazon listing, check the seller name, the storage variant, the bank or coupon discounts applied at checkout, and the final payable amount before you compare it with the vivo store price.
- Compare final payable prices for the same storage variant. A 128GB S2 and a 256GB X200T are not the same purchase, even if they are sold in the same country on the same day.
Which phone to choose
- Choose the vivo X200T if you want the higher-tier processor, 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, a three-camera setup with telephoto and ultra-wide lenses, or the fastest wired charging and wireless charging.
- Choose the vivo S2 5G if you want a larger 6.83-inch screen, the higher rated battery capacity or the lower observed price, and you are comfortable with a lighter, plastic-composite build and a more limited camera setup.
- Check the update terms before relying on the X200T for several years of software support, because the published pages do not state a duration for it. If long-term update commitments matter to you, the S2’s documented commitment of three OS generations and five years of security updates is the clearer published promise, though it still comes from vivo itself.
This recommendation is based on published specifications and listing prices rather than testing. It reflects the trade-off between the X200T’s hardware and camera range and the S2’s larger screen, larger rated battery and lower observed price.
