In India, the vivo X200 is priced higher than the standard OPPO Reno16 5G at the memory configurations both companies list. When both phones have 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, the X200 is ₹74,999 and the Reno16 5G is ₹72,999, a gap of ₹2,000. The two phones also differ on paper in processor, battery capacity, charging speed and telephoto zoom. Those differences are manufacturer-published specifications, not measured performance, so they do not show which phone is better in daily use.

India prices by configuration

The prices below come from vivo’s India store and OPPO’s India product page. OPPO states its prices were correct as of 31 August 2026 and include taxes. Prices can change, so treat these figures as a dated snapshot rather than a live quote, and check the vivo X200 store listing and the OPPO Reno16 5G price and details page before buying.

Phone and configuration Price in India Source and date
vivo X200 12GB + 256GB (5G) ₹74,999 vivo India store, 2026
vivo X200 16GB + 512GB ₹80,999 vivo India store listing, 2026
OPPO Reno16 5G 8GB + 256GB ₹66,999 OPPO India, correct as of 31 August 2026
OPPO Reno16 5G 12GB + 256GB ₹72,999 OPPO India, correct as of 31 August 2026

Two price gaps can be calculated from these listings, and they answer different questions:

  • Like-for-like (12GB + 256GB on both): ₹74,999 minus ₹72,999 equals ₹2,000. The X200 costs ₹2,000 more.
  • Entry configuration of the Reno16 against the base X200: ₹74,999 minus ₹66,999 equals ₹8,000. This compares an X200 with 12GB RAM against a Reno16 with 8GB RAM, so it overstates the gap for equal hardware.

The X200’s 16GB + 512GB version costs ₹80,999 on the same store. No Reno16 configuration with 16GB RAM or 512GB storage appeared in the OPPO India listing used for this comparison.

What the spec differences mean

Processor

The X200 lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400, and the Reno16 5G lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 series sits below its Snapdragon 8 flagship line, so the chip listing favours the X200 on paper. Chip benchmarks, thermal behaviour and sustained gaming performance depend on the full phone, and no independent test of either device was found for this comparison.

Battery and charging

The Reno16 5G lists a 6700mAh battery, while the X200 lists 5800mAh as a typical figure. Battery capacity alone does not decide runtime, because screen, chip and software efficiency all matter. The X200’s 90W FlashCharge is faster than the Reno16’s 80W SUPERVOOC on paper. Actual charging times and battery life are not established by these listings.

Cameras and zoom

Both phones use three 50MP rear cameras. The X200 has a 3× optical telephoto, and the Reno16 5G has a 3.5× optical telephoto. The Reno16’s listed telephoto reach is longer. Photo quality depends on sensors, processing and tuning, and no side-by-side camera test supports ranking one phone above the other.

Display and software

The X200 lists a 6.67-inch screen at 2800 × 1260 resolution. The Reno16 5G lists a 120Hz AMOLED panel at 16.05 cm, about 6.3 inches. The listings do not give the same panel details, so compare brightness, refresh behaviour and colour accuracy in hands-on reviews. The phones run different software: Funtouch OS 15 on the X200 and ColorOS 16.0 on the Reno16 5G.

Regional limits

These figures apply to India only. OPPO’s 25 June 2026 global announcement for the Reno16 series says that pricing, regional availability and release timing will vary by market. OPPO Japan’s announcement shows the point in practice: its Reno16 5G release was scheduled to begin on 17 August 2026 with a 12GB + 256GB configuration and a 6.3-inch display. Japanese pricing and availability are separate from the India figures above. Confirm the configuration and region on the seller’s page before comparing prices.

The model name also needs care. This comparison covers the standard OPPO Reno16 5G. OPPO’s series announcement also includes the Reno16 Pro and Reno16 F, which are separate products with their own specifications and prices.

Which phone fits which priorities

Use the listed numbers to match the phone to what you care about most:

  • Largest listed battery: the Reno16 5G, at 6700mAh against the X200’s 5800mAh typical figure.
  • Faster listed charging: the X200, at 90W against 80W.
  • Longer listed telephoto reach: the Reno16 5G, at 3.5× against 3×.
