The vivo X Fold6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra are both listed around €2,199 in Spain, but the match-up is not a simple tie: the vivo’s European specs emphasize a larger battery and higher-rated charging, while Samsung lists a 200MP main camera alongside dedicated ultrawide and telephoto cameras. Their main displays are nearly the same size. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in everyday use.

Specifications are from vivo Europe, Samsung Ireland and Samsung’s launch announcement. vivo lists multiple thicknesses by color; the figures are reported as provided, not as a standardized independent measurement.
Which phone has the larger screen?
The vivo has the slightly larger published main-screen diagonal: 8.02 inches versus Samsung’s 8 inches. That small difference alone does not determine which screen feels bigger or works better. Samsung also publishes the main panel’s resolution, refresh-rate range and brightness figure; the cited vivo European specification information markets ZEISS Master Color but does not provide a directly comparable set of viewing measurements here.
The cover screens are similarly sized on paper: 6.51 inches for vivo and 6.5 inches for Samsung. Diagonal measurements do not reveal width, aspect ratio or one-handed comfort, so those should not be inferred from the near-identical figures.

How do battery capacity and charging compare?
vivo publishes a 6,900mAh-equivalent battery and charging ratings of up to 80W wired and 40W wireless. Samsung lists a 5,000mAh typical battery, and its launch announcement specifies 45W fast charging. These are manufacturer specifications, not a controlled test of endurance or charging time; the available information does not establish which phone lasts longer in real use. Check the local retail package for charger and accessory details rather than assuming a charger is included.
How do the camera systems differ?
Samsung specifies three rear cameras: a 200MP wide camera, a 50MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto. vivo promotes a 200MP ZEISS main camera and a ZEISS APO telephoto, and Spain coverage identifies a compatible ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 accessory. The stated hardware shows different camera configurations, but megapixel counts and lens labels do not establish which produces better photographs. No comparable camera-quality test is available in the cited specifications.

What is the price difference in Spain?
As reported on 1 October 2026, Cinco Días/Smartlife gave the vivo X Fold6 a €2,199 recommended price in Spain and reported a temporary €1,979 launch offer. MediaMarkt’s Spanish listing showed the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra 256GB at €2,199. On those references, the headline price difference is €0 before promotions, but this is not a perfectly matched MSRP comparison: the sources differ, the Samsung listing specifies 256GB, and vivo’s offer is temporary. Prices and availability can change.
The same Spain report cited a vivo photography bundle at €2,399, temporarily €2,159. Bundle contents and stock may vary; check the seller’s current listing before relying on that offer. These Spain prices should not be generalized to other countries. Sources: Cinco Días/Smartlife and MediaMarkt Spain.

Are the China and European vivo versions the same?
Do not assume a Chinese-market X Fold6 is identical to the European retail version. vivo’s China launch announcement names OriginOS 6 Fold and a starting price of ¥7,999, with sales beginning 1 July 2026. Its European product information instead lists OriginOS 7 Fold and a 12GB/512GB configuration. The regional pages therefore describe different software and market configurations; check the exact SKU, local warranty, network support and services before buying an import.
Which phone has better software support?
The cited material identifies OriginOS 7 Fold for the European vivo product and One UI 9.0 for Samsung at launch, but it does not provide a complete, comparable update-support commitment for both phones. That is not enough evidence to declare one the longer-supported choice. Before purchasing, consult each manufacturer’s current regional support terms for the exact model and market.
