The Vivo V80 is an India-focused premium phone built around a 144Hz 1.5K OLED display, a camera system with a 3× optical telephoto lens, and a large battery. Its official specifications are compelling, but the independent review picture is more mixed: 91mobiles praised its design, display, camera versatility, and battery while criticizing performance for the price and low-light photo detail. Whether it is worth ₹62,999 or more depends on how much you value its imaging features over performance.
Vivo V80 price and availability in India
At launch, Vivo India listed these inclusive-of-tax prices on 6 October 2026:

Sales were scheduled to begin on 13 October 2026 through partner stores, Vivo’s website, Flipkart, and Amazon, according to Vivo’s launch announcement. The Vivo store listing displayed ₹62,999 for the selected 8GB+128GB model and a ₹111,999 MRP when checked for the review. That store price may reflect a promotion; it is not a replacement for the launch prices above, and listing prices and terms can change.
What the Vivo V80 offers
144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display
The India specification page lists a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 2750 × 1260 resolution, refresh rates up to 144Hz, and 5000 nits local peak brightness. Vivo says 144Hz is available only in selected applications, and actual performance can vary. The peak-brightness figure is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee that the entire screen sustains that brightness in ordinary use. See Vivo’s India specifications.

Camera hardware and video features
Vivo lists a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera using a Sony IMX882 sensor, with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 3× optical zoom; a 50MP main camera with OIS; a ZEISS ultra-wide camera; and a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. Video specifications include 4K at up to 60 frames per second and 4K Cinematic Video styles. ZEISS, cinematic, and AI feature descriptions are product claims; they do not by themselves establish how good a photo or video will look.
Vivo describes the V80 as a content-creation phone, saying it combines 4K Cinematic Video, 4K 60fps recording, ZEISS telephoto imaging, and AI-powered creative features. That is the company’s positioning, rather than an independent assessment.

Battery, charging, and durability
Vivo specifies a typical battery capacity of 7200mAh and a rated capacity of 7015mAh. It says the phone supports charging up to 90W under specified conditions and includes a standard charger. Maximum charging power depends on use and external factors; capacity alone cannot predict how long the phone will last between charges. Vivo’s claim that this is the largest battery in its V Series applies to phones launched in India as of 6 October 2026, is based on typical capacity, and relies on the company’s internal research.

Processor, storage, and software support
The India listing names a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor with an 8-core CPU built on a 4nm process. It lists 8GB RAM with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage. The listed software is OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
Vivo’s launch announcement says the phone receives six years of security updates, but the product-page qualification says that period is calculated from the initial global launch; availability and duration can vary by model and market. Treat this as Vivo’s stated commitment for the applicable market and model, not an unconditional promise for every variant.

How good is the Vivo V80 camera?
In its review published 6 October 2026, 91mobiles rated the V80 8/10 and praised its camera versatility. It also found low-light photographs noisy or short on detail, so the hardware list should not be read as a guarantee of consistent night photography.

The publication found some V80 advantages in daylight color and contrast, ultra-wide images, and portrait detail. Those are 91mobiles’ findings under its test conditions, not universal results across all scenes or users.

How long does the Vivo V80 battery last?
91mobiles recorded 18 hours and 36 minutes in its PCMark battery test, which the review says measures use from 100% down to 20%. This is a benchmark result from that publication’s test, not a promise of real-world runtime or a full 100%-to-empty estimate. Everyday battery life varies with display settings, apps, signal conditions, and usage.
Is the Vivo V80 worth buying?
The independent review’s central trade-off is clear: 91mobiles liked the design, display, camera versatility, and battery, but considered performance underwhelming for the ₹62,999 starting price and noted weak low-light detail. The V80 is a better fit for a buyer who prioritizes its telephoto camera, creator-oriented video features, high-refresh OLED display, and battery capacity than for someone focused chiefly on performance per rupee.
91mobiles also mentions the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R as performance-focused alternatives, but the available comparison does not establish a current, like-for-like price or an overall winner. Compare the exact storage configuration and current India price, then weigh camera consistency, performance, battery and charging, display behavior, software-update terms, and water/dust protection against your priorities.

No. Vivo says analog 3.5mm earphones cannot connect directly. To use them, you need a USB-C adapter with a built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC), sold separately; compatibility can vary by adapter model and protocol. Digital USB-C earphones are supported, as are Bluetooth earphones.
