The India-market vivo V70 Elite costs ₹6,000 more than the V70 at launch when comparing the base 8GB + 256GB models. For that premium, the Elite steps up from Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 to Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and adds a 12GB + 512GB configuration; the two phones share their listed display, battery, charging and durability ratings.

These are India-market specifications published by vivo. Shared headline features do not establish that the phones perform identically in everyday use, and the listed figures are not a substitute for comparative testing.

What is the difference between the V70 and V70 Elite?
Elite has the higher-tier listed processor
The V70 Elite uses Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the V70 uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That is the clearest hardware distinction for a buyer weighing the models. vivo also reported a laboratory AnTuTu 11.0.0 score of 1,889,405 for an 8GB + 256GB V70 Elite tested at 25°C ±1°C. This is vivo’s result, not an independent comparison; vivo says results can vary by memory version and test environment. It does not establish a real-world performance margin over the V70.

Only Elite is listed with 512GB storage
The India V70 page lists configurations up to 12GB + 256GB. The Elite page adds a 12GB + 512GB option, making it the only one of these models with an officially listed 512GB configuration. Neither page lists expandable ROM.
Camera specifications overlap, but do not prove image quality
Both phones are positioned around a 50MP telephoto camera, and both list a 50MP front camera. The Elite’s official specification page also lists a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Megapixel counts and camera labels alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; no comparative camera test is established here.

Weight varies by Elite color
vivo lists the Elite at 187g in Authentic Black and 194g in Passion Red or Sand Beige, with dimensions varying slightly by color. Check the V70’s model-specific listing and the exact color variant if weight or dimensions are deciding factors.

Display
Both are listed with a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel, 2750 × 1260 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. vivo’s 5000-nit figure is a local peak under its specified conditions, not a guarantee of sustained brightness across the entire screen.

Battery and charging
Both list a 6500mAh typical battery and 90W charging. vivo gives the rated battery capacity as 6320mAh and notes that actual charging power varies with conditions.
Water and dust resistance
Both carry IP68 and IP69 ratings. vivo says its IP68 test used static fresh water up to 1.5m for up to 30 minutes under specified conditions, and its IP69 test used specified hot-water spray conditions. The company cautions that resistance may diminish with daily use and that liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. vivo also states: “This product is not a professional waterproof phone.”

Software support
Both are listed with Android 16 and OriginOS 6. vivo’s V70-series launch announcement promises four generations of OS updates and six years of security updates, measured from launch in the user’s country. The promise does not by itself establish a calendar end date for every market.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the V70 if: you want the lower launch price and 256GB is sufficient. Its base configuration launched at ₹45,999.
- Consider the V70 Elite if: you want its listed Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor or need the 12GB + 512GB configuration. Its base version launched ₹6,000 above the matching V70 configuration.
- Compare like-for-like RAM and storage: the 12GB + 256GB Elite launched ₹7,000 above the 12GB + 256GB V70. The 512GB Elite does not have a same-capacity V70 counterpart in vivo’s India listings.
These are specification- and price-based decision points, not a tested verdict on speed, battery endurance, gaming, thermal behavior or camera quality.
Launch prices are not live prices
Retail prices and stock can differ from launch pricing. At the time of the cited store snapshot, vivo’s official e-store showed the Elite 12GB + 256GB at ₹71,999 against an MRP of ₹89,999 and marked it out of stock. That is a volatile listing, not a general current price or proof that the configuration is available to buy. Check the retailer, stock status and exact configuration before purchasing. vivo announced Amazon India, its own site, Flipkart and partner retail as sales channels from February 26, 2026; current listings and prices can change.
