For a new phone purchase in India, choose the Vivo V70 if its sharper 1.5K display, newer Android generation and faster listed storage justify the price over a discounted V60. The V60 may be the better value when it costs substantially less and its features meet your needs. If you already own a V60, the V70 is not an obvious speed upgrade: both are listed with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, and a reviewer found the performance difference modest.

Where the V70 improves the experience
A sharper screen for reading and video
Digital Camera World describes the V70’s 6.59-inch 1.5K, 120Hz AMOLED screen as noticeably sharper than the V60’s. That is the clearest everyday reason to favor the newer model if you spend a lot of time reading, browsing or watching video. The reviewer’s comparison supports the direction of the difference, but check the exact specification for the market and configuration you are buying.
A dedicated telephoto camera and 4K recording
The India V70 specification lists three rear cameras: a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera, a 50MP ZEISS super telephoto camera and an 8MP ZEISS ultrawide. The front camera is 50MP. vivo also advertises 4K 60fps recording. Digital Camera World favored the main and telephoto cameras but found the ultrawide weaker, so the V70 is especially worth considering if portraits and zoom matter more to you than wide landscape coverage.

Newer software generation and faster listed storage
91mobiles lists Android 16 for the V70 and Android 15 for the V60, alongside four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for each. Those are the comparison’s stated update periods, not universal calendar end dates; vivo’s product information says software-update periods vary by region. The V70’s India product page also lists LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. The available comparison does not establish equivalent V60 storage specifications, so do not assume a particular storage-speed gap from the processor comparison alone.
Is the V70 faster than the V60?
Both phones are listed with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, so the V70 is not a clear processor-generation leap. Digital Camera World found the V70 smooth for everyday tasks but cautioned V60 owners not to expect a large speed upgrade. The reviewer also found heavier video export slower than everyday use. That assessment reflects the review’s experience, not a guarantee for every workload or unit.

If you already own a V60, consider upgrading for the display, camera features or newer software generation rather than expecting a major performance transformation. For a new purchase, the shared listed processor means the V60 may remain adequate if its price is notably lower and you do not need the V70’s other changes.

Battery, charging and real-world use
vivo lists the V70 battery as 6500mAh typical capacity and 6320mAh rated capacity, with 90W FlashCharge support. The company says 90W is the compatible standard charger’s maximum supported rate; actual power adjusts to conditions, and runtime varies with usage. Capacity alone cannot tell you which phone will last longer in your routine.

In its review, Digital Camera World reported about a day and a half of V70 runtime under general use, while heavy filming and editing reduced that to under a day. Those are the reviewer’s test results, not a promised runtime. The review also noted preinstalled apps and persistent notifications, which may matter if you prefer a more minimal out-of-box setup.

Before choosing, compare live listings for the same storage capacity and check whether the displayed price depends on a bank offer or exchange. A V60 is a value choice only if its actual price is sufficiently lower than the V70’s; there is no reliable universal price gap to apply.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Vivo V70 if
- You are buying in India and want the sharper 1.5K display.
- You value the listed 50MP telephoto camera, 4K 60fps recording or the newer Android generation.
- The V70’s live price premium over a comparable V60 listing is worth those benefits to you.
Choose the Vivo V60 if
- It is substantially cheaper than the V70 at the time you shop.
- You are satisfied with its screen and cameras and do not need the V70’s specific upgrades.
- You are a current V60 owner primarily considering a speed boost; the shared listed processor and reviewer’s modest performance assessment make that a weak reason to switch.
