The India-market vivo V70 and realme 16 5G differ most in chipset, display resolution, rear-camera setup, battery capacity and charging speed. vivo lists a higher-resolution display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and 90W charging; realme lists a larger typical battery, expandable storage and a lighter body. There is no reliable fixed price gap: current prices depend on the storage variant, seller and offers.

The V70 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the realme 16 5G uses a Dimensity 6400 Turbo. Those are meaningful differences on paper, but chipset names and manufacturing processes alone do not establish how large a real-world speed or gaming gap is. No independent head-to-head benchmark is available here.
The V70’s listed memory and storage standards are LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1. realme lists LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2, and offers a 128GB entry tier that vivo does not list. realme also supports a storage card; vivo lists no ROM expansion. If you are deciding between configurations, compare the same RAM and built-in storage where possible, and check the realme card support details for your intended use.

Display: higher resolution on vivo, same listed refresh ceiling
vivo lists a 6.59-inch 2750 × 1260 AMOLED screen, compared with realme’s 16.69cm (about 6.57-inch) 2372 × 1080 flexible AMOLED. Both manufacturers list a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The V70 therefore has the higher stated resolution, but resolution alone cannot determine overall display quality; brightness figures and measurement methods are not directly comparable from the available specifications.
Cameras: compare the lenses and roles, not just megapixels
Both phones list a 50MP front camera and a 50MP main or wide rear camera. Their secondary rear cameras differ: vivo lists a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera in its specifications and promotes a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera on its product page; realme lists a 2MP monochrome camera alongside its 50MP wide camera. The vivo telephoto detail is from its product page, and regional or configuration differences should be checked before buying.

The matching headline megapixel counts do not establish equivalent image quality, and the camera specifications alone do not prove which phone takes better photos or video. Autofocus is specifically listed for vivo’s front camera; the realme specification excerpt does not state a comparable autofocus detail.
Battery, charging and protection
vivo lists a 6500mAh typical battery and 90W charging. realme lists 7000mAh typical capacity (6830mAh rated) and 60W charging. These are manufacturer ratings, not a direct comparison of endurance or charge time; actual results depend on use and conditions.

realme says its internal lab tests found the battery retained at least 80% of capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles. That is a realme internal-lab claim, not an independent comparison with the V70. The V70 specifications list IP68 and IP69; realme’s product page advertises IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K. Ingress ratings do not mean water or dust damage is impossible, so follow each manufacturer’s care and warranty terms.
India price difference and availability
There is no dependable fixed price difference to quote from the available listings. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot showed ₹54,999 for the V70 and ₹36,999 for the realme 16 on Amazon, a snapshot gap of ₹18,000. Those figures are volatile third-party listing snapshots, not current guaranteed prices; other captured snapshots showed different V70 prices. Check 91mobiles’ comparison listing and the retailer’s live pages for the exact model, seller, stock and offers before treating any figure as current.

Compare like for like: realme offers a 128GB tier, while vivo’s listed V70 configurations start at 256GB. A launch announcement from vivo India said the V70 and V70 Elite would go on sale from February 26, 2026 through vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon and partner retail stores, and gave a series starting price of INR 45,999. Choose the vivo V70 if
- You prioritize the higher listed display resolution.
- You prefer the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 specification and want 90W rated charging.
- You want the camera setup vivo lists, including its product-page Night Telephoto camera.
Consider the realme 16 5G if
- You prioritize its larger stated typical battery capacity, while recognizing that capacity alone does not establish longer battery life.
- You want a listed 128GB option, storage-card support or the lighter listed weight.
- A live, comparable listing makes it the better fit for your budget.
These are specification-based trade-offs, not hands-on verdicts. For a final decision, check current variant pricing, the software-update commitments for each exact model, carrier band compatibility and independent performance, camera and battery results. Network compatibility depends on both supported bands and the buyer’s carrier and location.
