On paper, the vivo V70 is the bigger, faster-refreshing phone: a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh, a 6500mAh typical battery, up to 90W charging, and a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera. The iPhone 17e is the smaller, lighter option, with a 6.1-inch OLED display, Apple’s A19 chip, a 48MP Fusion camera system, MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging, and iOS. These are specification differences. Neither set of published figures shows which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in everyday use.
A price difference cannot be calculated from the listings available. The V70 price comes from vivo’s India online shop and the iPhone 17e price from Apple’s US Store, so currency, tax, storage configuration and offers all differ. Decide which country you are buying in, then compare local prices for matching storage.

Display and size: a bigger screen against a lighter phone
The V70 is about 10.8 mm taller than the iPhone 17e and 18 to 25 g heavier, depending on colour. For buyers who use one hand most of the time, that gap is the most practical difference between the two phones.

The V70 lists refresh rates up to 120Hz. Apple’s specification page used for this comparison gives no refresh-rate figure for the iPhone 17e, so smoothness of motion cannot be compared from specifications alone. Brightness figures are also only available for the iPhone. Apple lists 800 nits typical and 1200 nits HDR peak; no comparable vivo brightness figure was published in the sources reviewed, and manufacturer brightness measurements are not directly comparable with each other.
Chip, software and ecosystem
The V70 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6, according to vivo’s global specification page. The iPhone 17e uses Apple’s A19 chip and iOS. No independent benchmark results were available for either phone, so this comparison does not name a speed winner.
The choice here is mostly about platform. Moving between Android and iOS means moving messages, photos, passwords and app purchases, and it changes which accessories fit. The iPhone 17e supports MagSafe and Qi2 accessories, which is a point in its favour for buyers who already use that ecosystem. Buyers who rely on Android-specific apps or OriginOS features should check those before deciding.

Cameras: a dedicated telephoto against a 2x view
The V70 has three rear camera modules: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a separate 50MP telephoto with optical image stabilisation, and an 8MP ultra-wide. The iPhone 17e has a 48MP Fusion main system that enables a 2x telephoto view using 12MP framing. The practical difference is that the V70 has a physical telephoto lens, while Apple’s 2x view is produced from its main camera system.
Megapixel counts do not decide photo quality, and neither vendor’s camera figures are independent tests. vivo’s V70 product page says:
“Co-engineered by vivo and ZEISS, V70 delivers sharp, vibrant distant portraits with its 50 MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera, bringing far-away moments close and unforgettable.”

That sentence is vivo’s marketing. If you photograph distant subjects often, the dedicated telephoto lens is a real hardware difference. Whether it beats Apple’s 2x framing in real shots needs side-by-side sample images, which were not available for this comparison.

Battery capacity versus video playback
vivo gives a 6500mAh typical battery capacity. Apple gives up to 26 hours of video playback for the iPhone 17e. A capacity rating describes the cell, while a playback figure describes runtime under Apple’s test conditions. The two cannot be compared as a battery-life test, and neither figure shows how long either phone lasts with your apps, signal strength and screen settings.
Charging options
- vivo V70: up to 90W FlashCharge over wired charging, as listed on vivo’s global page.
- iPhone 17e, wired: USB-C fast charge to 50% in 30 minutes with a 20W+ adapter. Apple says the adapter is sold separately.
- iPhone 17e, wireless: MagSafe and Qi2 charging up to 15W.
Durability, SIM setup and connectivity
Both phones carry dust and water ratings. vivo lists IP68 and IP69. Apple lists IP68 and specifies up to 6 m for 30 minutes under IEC 60529. These are standardised test conditions for ingress protection, not a promise of coverage under warranty, and no buyer should treat them as permission to expose the phone to water deliberately. Read each maker’s warranty terms for water damage.

SIM setup is where a wrong purchase is most likely. Check these points before you buy:
- Confirm the model number matches your country. The US iPhone 17e model A3575 uses eSIM only and has no physical SIM card.
- If you plan to use a US iPhone 17e, confirm your carrier supports eSIM activation.
- The V70 listing on vivo’s global page includes two nano-SIM slots. Band support varies by market, so check that your local carrier’s bands are supported.
- For travel or imported devices, check the bands and SIM type against the phone you intend to buy, not just the phone’s marketing name.
The price difference: why the listings cannot be ranked
The two prices come from different markets and different configurations, so they do not establish a price gap. The table lists what each listing shows and what it does not state.

How to make a fair price comparison
- Choose the country where you will buy the phone and where you will use it.
- Match storage. Compare 256GB with 256GB. Match RAM too where the listing states it, such as the V70’s 12GB.
- Compare the final price including tax, using the same type of seller on both sides: official store, carrier or reseller.
- Note whether carrier contracts, instalment plans, trade-ins or bundled accessories are included in the price you are comparing.
- Confirm the local model number and warranty terms before paying.
Accessories to budget for
- iPhone 17e: the fast wired charge needs a 20W+ USB-C adapter, which Apple sells separately. If you already own a suitable adapter, you do not need another one.
- vivo V70: the India listing includes a charger, case and protective film. Contents vary by market, so check the SKU for your country before buying a case or charger.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the vivo V70 if you want a larger, higher-refresh screen, a dedicated telephoto lens, Android, and a battery and charging system you can confirm with your local seller and carrier.
- Choose the iPhone 17e if you already use Apple devices, want a smaller and lighter phone, want MagSafe and Qi2 accessories, and have confirmed eSIM support with your carrier.
- Hold off on either until you have matching local prices and confirmed model, band and SIM details for your country.
