At the 8GB+256GB configuration, OPPO lists the Reno16c 5G at ₹53,999 on its India page, while vivo’s India Store displayed ₹66,999 for the V70 Elite in the same storage tier. That is a ₹13,000 gap. It is a snapshot rather than a settled difference: when vivo’s page was viewed on 4 October 2026, the selected 8GB+256GB variant was shown as out of stock and the page gave no date for its price. OPPO’s figure was stated as correct on 9 September 2026.
On paper the two phones take different routes. vivo pairs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with 90W charging and a 2750×1260 display. OPPO pairs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, a 7000mAh typical battery and expandable storage. The listed specifications show the differences, but they do not show which phone is faster or which takes better photos in daily use.
Price difference by configuration
The two brands sell different memory and storage combinations, so only one tier has a price on both sides. The table below shows every configuration with a stated price, with the date each price was recorded.
| Configuration | vivo V70 Elite (vivo India Store) | OPPO Reno16c 5G (OPPO India, model CPH2859) |
|---|---|---|
| 8GB+128GB | Not listed | ₹49,999 (stated correct on 9 September 2026) |
| 8GB+256GB | ₹66,999 displayed, with the variant shown out of stock (page viewed 4 October 2026; no price date given) | ₹53,999 (stated correct on 9 September 2026) |
| 12GB+256GB | Listed; price not stated | ₹59,999 (stated correct on 9 September 2026) |
| 12GB+512GB | Listed; price not stated | Not listed |
The 8GB+256GB row is the only like-for-like price pair. Prices, stock and offers change, so check both listings on the day you buy, and compare the same configuration on both sides.

Processor: what the chip names do and do not tell you
The V70 Elite uses a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and the Reno16c uses a Dimensity 7300-Energy. Neither manufacturer’s listing includes benchmark results, and this comparison does not include any tested performance figures. Chip names are useful for understanding the platform, but they cannot settle questions about sustained gaming, multitasking or heat without measured results under identical conditions.
Display
Both phones have a 6.59-inch or larger AMOLED panel with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The V70 Elite’s listed resolution is 2750×1260, and the Reno16c’s is 2372×1080. A higher pixel count usually means finer detail on screen, but the listing does not measure sharpness, brightness or colour accuracy, so it does not show which screen looks better in practice.

Battery and charging
OPPO lists a 7000mAh typical battery and a 6850mAh rated capacity for the Reno16c. vivo lists a 6500mAh typical capacity for the V70 Elite. Capacity alone does not predict how long a phone lasts, because runtime depends on the processor, screen, network and usage. Neither listing gives a tested runtime.

The V70 Elite is listed at 90W and the Reno16c at 80W SUPERVOOC. Maximum wattage is a ceiling, and the listings do not give charge times from empty to full, so the wattage figure does not tell you how quickly either phone charges in everyday use.

Cameras
Both phones use a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The difference is in the telephoto lens. vivo lists its 50MP telephoto camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), and the magnification of that lens is not stated in the listing. OPPO lists a 50MP telephoto camera at 3.5x, but its listed specifications do not mention optical stabilisation. Lens specifications alone do not show how the cameras perform in low light or in motion.
Storage, connectivity and what is in the box
Expandable storage
The Reno16c supports a storage card, which matters if you expect to keep large photo or video libraries on the phone. The V70 Elite’s official listing does not mention expandable storage, so buy the storage tier you need: 256GB or 512GB on the V70 Elite, and 128GB or 256GB on the Reno16c, with the expansion option available on the OPPO.

NFC and eSIM
OPPO’s buyer FAQ says the Reno16c 5G does not support NFC or eSIM. Those features are commonly used for contactless payments and digital SIMs, so a Reno16c buyer who needs either should not expect them. vivo’s listing did not state NFC or eSIM support in the material reviewed here, so check the full specification sheet before buying if either feature matters to you.

Water resistance and durability
vivo says the V70 Elite has water resistance, but that protection is not permanent and can diminish over time. Liquid damage is not covered by the warranty. OPPO’s listing does not state a water-resistance rating for the Reno16c. If water exposure is a concern, check the official rating for the exact model you buy, not the general claim on the store page.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the Reno16c 5G if you want expandable storage, a lower displayed price at the 8GB+256GB tier, a larger listed battery and a charger and protective case in the box.
- Choose the V70 Elite if you want the higher listed charging wattage, optical stabilisation on the telephoto lens, a higher-resolution display, or the 12GB+512GB option, and you can confirm that NFC and eSIM meet your needs.
- Check the price first if you are comparing 12GB+256GB or 12GB+512GB, because only the OPPO price is stated for the 12GB+256GB tier, and the V70 Elite’s price is not stated for either higher tier in the material reviewed.
