The vivo V70 Elite is the stronger spec-sheet pick for processing power, screen size and charging speed; the OPPO Reno16 5G has a higher-resolution ultrawide camera and a larger listed battery. This comparison is for the India-market OPPO Reno16 5G (model CPH2865), not the separate Reno16c 5G (CPH2859) or Reno16 models sold elsewhere. OPPO notes that regional Reno16-series specifications and prices differ (OPPO India).

Specifications are from vivo India, the vivo India store, and OPPO India. The OPPO screen measurement is listed as 16.05cm, approximately 6.32 inches; vivo lists 16.74cm, or 6.59 inches. Hardware figures describe published specifications, not independent measurements of performance, endurance or image quality.
Which phone is faster?
On listed hardware, the V70 Elite has the advantage: it uses a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, compared with the Reno16 5G’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Both specify LPDDR5X RAM, but vivo lists faster UFS 4.1 storage while OPPO lists UFS 3.1. The V70 Elite also offers a 12GB+512GB option; OPPO’s listed maximum is 12GB+256GB.

As a secondary-source data point rather than a test conducted for this article, 91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,815,619 for the V70 Elite and 1,457,989 for the Reno16 5G in its 2026 comparison (91mobiles comparison). Benchmark results depend on testing conditions and software, so those figures should not be treated as a guarantee of how either phone will perform in every app or game.

Which screen is better for your use?
The V70 Elite has the larger, higher-resolution panel: 6.59 inches at 2750×1260, versus the Reno16 5G’s approximately 6.32-inch, 2640×1216 display. Both are listed as AMOLED screens with a 120Hz refresh rate. The OPPO is the more compact choice on published dimensions; comfort in hand also depends on the phone’s overall shape and weight, which these display measurements do not establish.
How do the cameras differ?
Ultrawide and everyday framing
The clearest hardware distinction is the ultrawide camera. OPPO lists a 50MP autofocus ultrawide, while vivo lists an 8MP ultrawide. That gives the Reno16 5G more sensor resolution for ultrawide shots on paper, but megapixel count alone does not prove which phone produces better photos.

Main, telephoto and selfie cameras
Both phones list 50MP main, telephoto and front cameras. vivo specifies ZEISS branding for its 50MP main camera with OIS, 50MP Night telephoto with autofocus and OIS, and 50MP front camera. OPPO lists a 50MP wide camera with two-axis OIS, 50MP telephoto with two-axis OIS, and 50MP autofocus front camera. 91mobiles describes the OPPO telephoto as 3.5x; treat that zoom detail as the comparison outlet’s characterization, not a substitute for the official specification (91mobiles camera comparison).

The listed hardware makes the Reno16 5G more compelling if high-resolution ultrawide capture is a priority, while both offer dedicated telephoto cameras. A categorical photo-quality winner cannot be established from these specifications alone.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers say
OPPO lists a 6700mAh battery, compared with vivo’s 6500mAh typical capacity. vivo lists faster wired charging at 90W; OPPO specifies 80W SUPERVOOC. These are manufacturer figures, not a direct endurance or charging-time comparison.
For additional context, 91mobiles reports PCMark battery test results of 23.8 hours for the Reno16 5G and 18.3 hours for the V70 Elite. The outlet says its test measures battery use from 100% down to 20%; actual battery life varies with settings, signal, apps and workload. The test result is not interchangeable with either company’s capacity rating (91mobiles comparison).

Software, updates and durability
vivo lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6, while OPPO’s India specifications list ColorOS 16.0. The 91mobiles comparison refers to ColorOS 16.1, so the official India specification is the safer reference for the version listed by OPPO. The comparison also reports an OPPO commitment of five OS upgrades and six years of security patches; that policy was not stated on the official product pages cited here. The available sources do not establish an equivalent verified update commitment for vivo, so a like-for-like support-period comparison is not possible.
