Neither phone wins on specifications alone. The vivo V60 is the better fit if you want a dedicated telephoto camera. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G lists the sharper, faster display and a different, more premium chipset. On price, the listings checked on 4 October 2026 conflict, so no reliable price gap can be stated. Compare the same memory and storage configuration on live listings before you decide.

The table uses each manufacturer’s published specification. Where a figure is a vendor claim, it is labelled as one in the text that follows.

Cameras: the telephoto difference
The clearest hardware difference is the V60’s dedicated telephoto lens. vivo lists a 50MP ZEISS OIS super telephoto camera alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G’s cited specification lists a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide with macro, and no rear telephoto lens. If you shoot distant subjects or want optical zoom rather than cropped digital zoom, the V60 is the phone to check first.
Megapixel counts do not predict photo quality. Both front cameras are listed at 50MP, which tells you little about selfie results. Sensor size, processing and real shots decide that, and no independent side-by-side camera test for these two exact models was established for this article.

Display and processor
Display
Motorola’s listed panel has the higher resolution (2772 × 1272 against vivo’s 2392 × 1080) and the higher refresh ceiling (up to 144Hz against 120Hz). The refresh rate figure is the maximum the panel supports. The rate you actually see depends on the adaptive or fixed setting chosen in each phone’s display menu and on the app in use, so check that setting after purchase.
Processor
The two phones use different platforms. vivo lists the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while Motorola lists the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme. A platform name does not establish speed or gaming performance by itself. The article does not claim either chip is faster, because no comparable benchmark or gaming test for these two exact models was established.

Battery and charging
Both phones list a 6500mAh battery and 90W wired charging, so capacity does not separate them on paper. vivo’s own rating is 6330mAh, which it describes as the rated figure, while 6500mAh is the typical figure it publishes. Motorola does not state a rated figure in the cited specification. Battery life claims come from each vendor using its own test method, so treat them as separate claims rather than a head-to-head result.
Durability and software support
Both manufacturers claim strong ingress protection. vivo’s India product page for the V60 says: “With IP68 & IP69 rated water resistance and 3x durability, the V60 is built to endure—staying strong even when submerged underwater up to 1.5 meters for 120 minutes.” That figure describes a controlled test. It does not mean every water exposure is covered, and it is not a warranty promise. Motorola’s Support specifications list IP68, IP69 and MIL-STD 810H for the Edge 70 Pro 5G. MIL-STD 810H is a US military test standard that covers drops, temperature and other environmental conditions, and it is a manufacturer’s claim of compliance rather than a guarantee against damage.

For software, Motorola’s page promises up to three years of OS upgrades and security patches on Android 16. vivo’s shop page names Funtouch OS 15, but it does not state how long the V60 will receive updates, so do not treat the two support policies as equal until vivo publishes one.
Price difference: what the listings show
The following figures were checked on 4 October 2026. Each one is a snapshot from a single source and may already be out of date. None of them is a guaranteed offer.

These figures do not describe the same configuration, date or seller, so the gap between them is not a reliable measure of which phone costs less. The 91mobiles figures are third-party displays, not offers from either brand.

How to make a fair price comparison
- Pick one configuration. The 8GB + 256GB version is the shared option that both phones’ listed specifications include, so start there. Only compare a 12GB or 512GB model with a matching variant of the other phone.
- Confirm the model is the Indian version. Motorola’s specification page is a support page that notes specifications may vary by market, so check the model number on the Motorola India product page rather than assuming it matches.
- Open the live listings on the same day. Note the seller, the price and whether the variant is in stock.
- Compare the final payable price. Bank offers, exchange deals and coupons shown at checkout change often and can outweigh the difference between list prices.
- Check the warranty and seller terms before paying, since the same phone can carry different warranty and return conditions depending on who sells it.
Which phone suits which buyer
- Choose the vivo V60 if a dedicated telephoto camera and vivo’s ZEISS-branded camera system matter most to you.
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro 5G if a higher-resolution screen with a 144Hz ceiling and the Dimensity 8500 Extreme platform are your priorities, and you are comfortable verifying the Indian model.
- Budget-led buyers should compare live prices for the same memory and storage configuration, and should not rely on the headline figures above.
What these figures do and do not show

- No independent comparable test of both exact phones was established for this article.
- 91mobiles reports a Geekbench multi-core result and a battery-duration comparison, but the page does not give enough methodology to treat them as controlled results. They are not used here.
