The vivo V50 lists the better display type, faster charging and an ultra-wide rear camera. The vivo T5x 5G lists the larger battery and the lower price for its cheapest configuration. Neither spec sheet shows which phone performs better in daily use, and this comparison cites no independent test of either phone.
All specifications and prices below come from vivo India’s product pages and vivo India e-store, checked on 7 October 2026, and are framed for the Indian market. Prices change, so confirm them before buying.

Display: AMOLED on the V50, LCD on the T5x
The V50’s 6.77-inch AMOLED panel is the clearest hardware difference between the two screens. AMOLED is a panel technology that usually offers deeper blacks and higher contrast than LCD, but the official pages do not give brightness, colour accuracy or outdoor readability figures for either phone, so those qualities are not compared here. The T5x’s 6.76-inch LCD is listed at the same 120Hz refresh rate as the V50, so refresh rate does not separate them on paper.

Battery and charging
The T5x has the larger rated battery, at 7200 mAh against the V50’s 6000 mAh typical figure. The V50’s “typical” wording means vivo’s published capacity is an average rather than a fixed value, so the gap is useful as a rough guide only. vivo’s T5x product page describes the battery in marketing terms: “A flagship 7200 mAh battery is built to keep up with long-term, demanding usage.” That sentence is vivo’s own copy, not an independent endurance result.
The V50 lists 90W FlashCharge, while the T5x lists 44W. Higher listed wattage generally means a faster charge, but the pages do not state how long either phone takes to reach full charge, so the difference is a specification-level one.

Rear cameras
Both phones use a 50 MP main camera. The V50 adds OIS, an optical image stabiliser that reduces shake in photos and video, and a 50 MP autofocus ultra-wide camera. The T5x’s second rear camera is a 2 MP bokeh unit, which is listed for depth effects rather than wide-angle framing. If an ultra-wide lens matters for your photos, the V50 is the one whose listing includes it.

Front camera
The V50 lists a 50 MP autofocus selfie camera, and the T5x lists a 32 MP front camera. Megapixel counts do not predict image quality, and no sample photos or test results are cited for either phone.

Processors and software
The V50 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and the T5x uses the Dimensity 7400-Turbo. Both are mid-range chips, and their listed names do not establish which one delivers better speed, heat control or gaming performance. The phones also ship with different software: the V50 runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, and the T5x runs OriginOS 6 on Android 16. The official pages do not say how many years of OS or security updates either phone will receive, or whether that differs by region.
Price difference: what the numbers show and what they don’t
The two phones were not priced at the same memory and storage configuration, so the headline gap is not a like-for-like comparison. The table lists every price cited, with its date and source.

The ₹15,000 difference between the current V50 8GB + 256GB price (₹42,999) and the T5x 6GB + 128GB category price (₹27,999) compares phones with different memory and storage. The V50 variant has 2GB more RAM and 128GB more storage. Compare matching configurations before treating the gap as a saving.

Before you buy
- Confirm the exact RAM and storage configuration you want, and check its live price on the vivo India e-store on the day you buy.
- If a T5x product page and category page show different prices, follow the price shown at checkout rather than either listing.
- Check the seller and stock status on any third-party retailer, since current availability was not verified for this comparison.
- The T5x listing says its box includes a phone case, charger, cable and applied protective film. Verify the bundle contents when you order.
- Read independent reviews that test battery life, camera output and screen brightness before deciding, because manufacturer specifications do not establish these.
What the specifications cannot tell you
- Real-world battery life and charging time for either phone.
- Camera image quality, low-light performance and video stability.
- Processor speed, thermal behaviour and gaming performance.
- Screen brightness and colour accuracy in use.
- Durability, and how long either phone will receive software updates.
- Prices or availability outside India.
Until independent testing addresses these points, the choice depends on which specifications matter most to you: the V50 leads on display type, charging power and camera lenses, while the T5x leads on rated battery capacity and has the lower price for its cheapest configuration.
The V50 launch prices are historical, the T5x category price is a single-day listing, and the T5x product page price contradicts it. Treat every price in this article as a checkpoint, not a guarantee.
