The vivo V50 is the more feature-rich option on paper, with a 50MP ultra-wide rear camera, a 50MP autofocus selfie camera, a larger battery, faster rated charging and a 512GB top storage tier. The vivo T4R launched at a substantially lower price. At the shared 8GB/128GB configuration, the 2025 launch-price gap was ₹17,500; current prices may differ.

What differs in everyday use?
Camera flexibility
The clearest hardware distinction is the secondary rear camera. The V50’s 50MP autofocus ultra-wide is intended for wider scenes, while the T4R’s listed 2MP bokeh camera is a different kind of secondary lens. The V50 also lists a 50MP autofocus front camera, compared with 32MP on the T4R. These specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; image quality requires comparable testing.
Battery capacity and charging
vivo lists a 6000mAh battery and 90W FlashCharge for the V50, versus 5700mAh and 44W FlashCharge for the T4R. These are manufacturer-listed capacities and charging ratings, not independent battery-life or charging-time measurements. vivo notes that V50 charging power adjusts dynamically and that up to 90W is supported with the original charger and cable.

Display, protection and software
The two models share a 6.77-inch, 2392 × 1080 AMOLED display and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Both product pages list Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15 and IP68/IP69 ratings. Shared ratings and software listings do not by themselves establish identical real-world durability or future software support.
Processor, weight and storage ceiling
The V50 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the T4R uses the Dimensity 7400 5G. Without a directly comparable benchmark or hands-on test, the chipset names are not enough to declare a performance winner. The V50’s listed maximum storage is 512GB, twice the T4R’s 256GB; the T4R is lighter at 183.5g, while the V50 weighs 189g or 199g depending on color.

Which is better: vivo V50 or vivo T4R?
Choose based on the features you will actually use and the current price for the same storage tier. The V50’s listed hardware favors buyers who want an ultra-wide camera, a higher-resolution autofocus selfie camera, faster rated charging, a larger battery capacity or the option of 512GB storage. The T4R’s strongest case is its lower launch-price position and lighter listed weight. These are specification-based distinctions, not a verdict from comparative performance or camera testing.
