The vivo V30e is worth considering in India if you want a slim phone with a large listed battery, a curved 120Hz AMOLED screen and strong selfie features, and if its live price stays close to the ₹32,999 shown on vivo India’s online shop when we checked on 7 October 2026. It is a conditional recommendation, not an unconditional one. The battery, performance and camera claims come from vivo’s own pages, and this review has not involved hands-on testing of the phone, so it says where a claim goes beyond the manufacturer’s published information.
India specifications at a glance
The figures below come from vivo India’s product specification page. They describe the India model. Global versions of the V30e can differ in color, memory, water resistance or network bands, so match any figure against the Indian listing before you compare models.

Pros: where the V30e makes a real case
A large listed battery with fast-charging support
vivo lists a 5500mAh typical battery and charging up to 44W. The word “typical” describes vivo’s rated figure, not a guaranteed minimum for every unit. The 44W figure is a ceiling: vivo says charging power adjusts with battery level and how you use the phone, so you should not expect that speed for the whole charge. The charger in the box is listed as supporting up to 44W.
A curved 120Hz AMOLED display
The 6.78-inch panel runs at 2400×1080 with a 120Hz refresh rate. For most buyers this is the phone’s clearest hardware draw: scrolling and animations are smoother than on a standard 60Hz screen. How that smoothness holds up in real apps, and how the curved edges affect daily use, has not been independently measured.

Selfie and portrait-oriented camera features
The 50MP front camera has Eye AF, and the main rear camera adds OIS. vivo also lists Aura Light with dual color temperature and 4K video from both cameras. These are feature specifications. They do not show how the photos look in low light, in motion or against competing phones.
Storage choice and expandable memory
You can buy 8GB RAM with 128GB or 256GB of storage. The India listing also says microSD is supported. The card shares the SIM tray, so if you need two SIMs, you cannot also use a card at the same time. Check that trade-off before you rely on expandable storage.
Accessories included in the box
The box includes a charger and a case, and the screen already has protective film applied. That removes the first purchases many buyers make on a new phone.

Cons: where the V30e falls short or needs checking
The wide-angle camera is only 8MP
The second rear camera is an 8MP wide-angle unit, while the main sensor is 50MP. Resolution alone does not decide image quality, but the gap means the wide lens is the likely weak point. If you shoot a lot of group photos or landscapes, look at sample images from both lenses before you commit.
No NFC
The India listing does not include NFC. If you pay by tapping your phone at a terminal, this rules the V30e out. If you pay another way, the omission does not matter.
The curved screen is a preference and accessory issue
Some buyers prefer a flat panel, and curved displays usually need protectors cut to fit the curve. This is a matter of taste and accessory cost, not a fault. The protective film in the box may not be the one you want to keep long term.

Gaming and heat are unmeasured
The listed platform is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with 8GB RAM. We have no independent frame-rate, thermal or benchmark results for this phone, so we cannot say whether it holds stable performance during long gaming sessions or heavy multitasking. What vivo claims, and what remains unverified
vivo India’s feature page gives four battery-runtime figures. They are manufacturer claims. The page does not describe the test method, and none of the figures has been independently verified.

These numbers suggest the 5500mAh battery is designed for long days of light use, but the real figures depend on screen brightness, network signal, volume and how hard the processor works. Treat them as a starting point, not a result.

Software support is not stated in the listing
The phone launched with Android 14 and Funtouch OS 14. The listing does not say how many major Android upgrades or security updates vivo will provide. If long software support is important to you, ask vivo or the seller before you buy.

The 256GB version costs ₹2,000 more. Whether that is worth it depends on how much storage you need and whether you will use the microSD option instead.
How to compare it at the price you see
No competing handset was tested for this review, so this article does not claim that the V30e beats any rival. When you compare it with other phones at the same price, look at these points:
- Independently tested sustained performance, including gaming
- Camera consistency, particularly main versus wide-angle
- Battery endurance and charging speed under your own usage
- Screen shape preference: curved or flat
- Software update commitment from the manufacturer
- Storage tier and whether you need expandable storage
- Total price after bank and retailer offers, not just the list price
Verdict: who should buy it, and who should skip it
The V30e makes sense for buyers who value a curved high-refresh AMOLED screen, selfie-focused camera features and a large listed battery, and who will buy it at or near the listed price. It is less suitable for buyers who depend on NFC, want proof of camera or gaming performance before paying, or prefer a flat screen.
