The vivo T5x 5G pairs a 6.76-inch LCD and 7,200mAh battery with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G has an AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and a more flexible rear-camera setup with an OIS-equipped main camera and an ultra-wide camera. The key trade-offs are display type, camera hardware, and regional battery specifications—not a proven performance winner. The price figures available for comparison are not confirmed to be for matching storage configurations.

The clearest difference is the panel technology: vivo lists an LCD, while Xiaomi lists an AMOLED display. Xiaomi also specifies a 1.5K resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The vivo listing gives the screen’s size and pixel resolution, but does not establish a refresh-rate figure in the specifications cited here.

These details help identify what each phone offers, but they do not prove which display will look better to you. Viewing conditions, content, and personal preference matter, and the listed specifications are not a side-by-side screen test.
Do the processor names establish a performance winner?
No. The vivo uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo, and Xiaomi lists a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. The available specifications do not include comparable independent benchmark results, so the processor names alone are not enough to say which phone is faster in games, apps, or everyday use.
How do their camera specifications differ?
The vivo listing gives it a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera, plus a 32MP front camera. Xiaomi lists a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front camera.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why does the Redmi battery capacity depend on the market?
The manufacturer’s India page lists a 9,000mAh typical battery for the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, while Xiaomi UK lists 8,340mAh typical. Do not treat either number as a universal Redmi specification: check the page and product listing for the region where you plan to buy. vivo India lists a 7,200mAh battery for the T5x. Xiaomi India lists 67W charging, compared with 44W for the vivo.
Capacity and charging wattage are specifications, not measured battery endurance or charging-time results. They do not establish how long either phone lasts under your usage or how quickly it charges in practice.
What is the price difference?
A 91mobiles comparison page displayed Amazon prices of ₹27,099 for the vivo T5x and ₹36,999 for the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G when accessed on October 7, 2026. The arithmetic difference between those displayed prices is ₹9,900, but the page does not establish that the prices are for matching RAM and storage configurations or a consistent current price basis. Treat them as an indicative snapshot, not an official or verified like-for-like price gap. Check the live listings and match storage configurations before comparing totals. Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo T5x if its listed LCD, processor, camera setup, and available storage configuration suit you, or if the matched live price is lower where you shop.
- Consider the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G if you want an AMOLED display, a dedicated ultra-wide camera, OIS on the main camera, or the higher listed charging rate in the India specification.
- Compare your local versions carefully if battery capacity is a priority. The Redmi’s listed typical capacity differs between Xiaomi’s India and UK pages.
Neither specification sheet proves an overall winner: the right choice depends on which features matter to you and the live price for the exact configuration available in your market.
