On published specifications, the vivo T5 Pro 5G leads the realme P4R 5G in battery capacity, charging power, and display resolution and panel type. The realme P4R’s official page does not show a price, so a current price difference cannot be confirmed. The only firm price comparison available is between vivo’s April 2026 launch price and its live store price, and those are not the same thing.

Which phone has the better battery and charging?
vivo’s published figures favour the T5 Pro on both counts. Its 9020 mAh cell is about 13% larger than the P4R’s 8000 mAh, and its 90W maximum charging rate is double the P4R’s 45W. Those are the numbers each company lists, and they do not tell you how long either phone lasts in use or how quickly it charges from empty in practice. Neither phone has been tested here for screen-on time or charging duration, so treat the battery advantage as a difference in specification rather than a measured result.
#1 Best Overall
- Includes a high-definition 9H screen protector made from 9H-hardness tempered glass, which effectively resists everyday scuffs, key scratches and accidental knocks, keeping your screen looking as good as new for years to come
- Military-grade drop protection: a hard PC back panel and soft TPU frame combined with shock-absorbing air cushions, plus raised edges to protect the screen and camera lens, providing robust defence against drops, knocks and everyday wear and tear.
- Smooth sliding, secure latching: Precision runners + anti-loosening latches ensure smooth, jam-free sliding and a secure, spring-loaded lock that won’t pop open, making them durable and long-lasting.
- Precise cut-outs, slim and non-slip: Full-featured, precise cut-outs that do not interfere with charging or photography; slim with a textured finish for a non-slip grip, portable and not bulky.
- Innovative 2-in-1 sliding cover and stand: the sliding lens cover doubles as a sturdy folding stand; slide it open to protect against scratches and dust, and close it to instantly transform it into a viewing stand, leaving your hands free for binge-watching or video calls
Higher wattage does not guarantee faster charging to full. Charging speed depends on the charger you use, the cable, and how the phone manages heat. Check the charger included in the box for each model before assuming either speed.
Display: resolution, panel and brightness
vivo lists the T5 Pro with a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel at 2800×1260 resolution and refresh rates up to 144Hz. realme advertises a 144Hz display with 1200 nits peak brightness. The refresh rate is the same on paper. The T5 Pro’s higher resolution and AMOLED panel type are the clearer differences in the official material.
Brightness figures are not directly comparable. vivo gives two numbers, 2000 nits for high-brightness mode and 5000 nits for local peak brightness, and realme gives a single 1200-nit peak. Each company may measure its figure under different conditions, so the numbers show what each company chooses to advertise, not which screen is brighter outdoors.

Processor, memory and software
The T5 Pro uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, and the P4R uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300. Both companies describe their chips in terms of core count and manufacturing process, but neither describes benchmark results in the material reviewed. The chip names suggest different performance tiers, yet no comparable benchmark or sustained-load test was available to confirm how the two perform in daily use.
The T5 Pro is offered with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, according to vivo’s launch release and store listing. Software is similar on paper: OriginOS 6.0 on the T5 Pro and realme UI 7.0 on the P4R, both based on Android 16 according to each company’s page. Neither source states how long either phone will receive major Android updates, so you should check each brand’s update policy before buying if that matters to you.
Cameras
The T5 Pro’s rear setup pairs a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with a 2 MP bokeh sensor, and vivo’s April 2026 launch release says the main camera has optical image stabilisation. Its front camera is 32 MP. realme describes a 50 MP AI rear camera but does not list a front camera on the page reviewed.

Megapixel counts do not decide image quality. Sensor size, lens, processing and software all matter. No controlled side-by-side photo test of these two phones is available from either source, so the camera comparison here is limited to the listed hardware.
Durability and weight
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 ratings for the T5 Pro. vivo’s own product page warns that the phone is not a professional waterproof device and that liquid damage is not covered by warranty. An IP68 or IP69 rating describes resistance to dust and water under specific test conditions. It does not mean the phone is waterproof in everyday use.
realme lists the P4R with IP65 dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H shock-resistance certification. IP65 is lower than the T5 Pro’s IP68 and IP69 ratings, but it is still a recognised dust and water rating. MIL-STD-810H refers to a military test standard for shock and other conditions. It does not mean the phone is indestructible.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. The price difference: what can and cannot be confirmed
No current price difference between these two phones can be stated with confidence. Two prices are available for the T5 Pro, and neither is a like-for-like match for a current realme listing.
- vivo launch price (21 April 2026): ₹29,999 for 8GB+128GB, ₹33,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹39,999 for 12GB+256GB, as announced in vivo’s press release. These were launch prices with launch offers attached. They are not the price to expect today.
- vivo live store price (observed 7 October 2026): ₹41,999 for 8GB+128GB on vivo’s India E-Store. The store also lists 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants, but the live prices for those variants were not recorded.
- realme P4R: the official India product page checked on 7 October 2026 did not display a price.
Prices change quickly, and the vivo live-store figure may already be out of date. To find a real price difference, follow these steps:
Best Value
- Built‑in Magnetic Plate:Compatible with wireless chargers & magnetic car mounts, stable adsorption without falling, convenient for in‑car use and wireless charging.
- Premium Faux‑Leather Surface:Features skin‑friendly texture, effectively resists fingerprints and sweat, keeps your phone back clean with a luxury minimalist look
- Full‑Body Shockproof Protection :Soft flexible TPU bumper + reinforced four corners, raised 0.3mm camera lip guards camera and screen from scratches & impact damage.

- Anti‑Slip Comfort Grip :Non‑slip side texture design delivers secure and comfortable holding, lightweight durable construction for daily long‑time use.
- Open vivo’s India E-Store listing for the T5 Pro 5G and note the price for the storage variant you plan to buy.
- Check a current realme India retailer listing for the P4R 5G and confirm the exact RAM and storage configuration, since realme’s official page did not show one.
- Compare only matching RAM and storage. A 128GB model should be compared with a 128GB model, not with a 256GB one.
- Check the price at the same time for both phones, and include any bank offers or exchange deals in the comparison, noting which ones apply to which buyers.
Which should you buy?
Choose the T5 Pro if you want the larger battery, faster charging, the higher-resolution AMOLED display, or the higher water and dust ratings, and you can pay the current vivo store price. The T5 Pro’s specifications match those priorities more closely than the P4R’s.
Choose the P4R if its price is lower than the T5 Pro’s when you compare matching storage configurations, and you can accept an 8000 mAh battery, 45W charging, and an IP65 rating. Confirm the realme price before deciding, because the official page did not show one.
If the price difference is small once you match configurations, the T5 Pro is the stronger choice on paper. If the P4R is clearly cheaper for the same storage, the decision depends on how much you value the battery, charging speed, and display.
Once you have the current price, check the phone’s return policy and warranty terms with the seller, since vivo’s own warranty excludes liquid damage.
No other products or services are needed for either phone. The T5 Pro’s store listing says a phone case is included in the box, so you do not need to buy one separately.
