The vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G is the stronger specification-led choice if you want 5G, a 120Hz display, faster charging, and more storage options. The vivo T5e costs less and suits buyers who can use a 4G phone with 64GB storage and a 90Hz display. On vivo India pages retrieved on October 4, 2026, the T5e 4GB+64GB was listed at ₹13,999, while the T5 Lite 4GB+128GB was listed at ₹20,499—a ₹6,500 difference between those specific configurations. These are published specifications and observed prices, not independent performance tests or guaranteed offers.

vivo T5 Lite 5G vs vivo T5e: key specifications

Specifications are those published by vivo India for the T5 Lite and vivo India for the T5e. An IP rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof; vivo cautions that protection is assessed under controlled conditions and may decline over time.

What the differences mean for everyday use

5G and processing hardware

The T5 Lite is the only 5G model in this comparison: vivo lists 5G+5G dual-SIM standby, while the T5e is listed for 4G+4G standby. Choose the T5 Lite if 5G access matters where you live or travel. The listed processor specifications also favor the T5 Lite on paper, but the available sources do not provide independent benchmarks or direct performance testing, so clock speed and manufacturing process alone do not establish how much faster it will feel in every task.

Storage and memory

The T5 Lite is listed in three combinations, topping out at 6GB RAM and 256GB storage; the T5e listing is 4GB+64GB. Storage is a meaningful part of the price comparison: the lower T5e price buys less built-in space, while even the base T5 Lite listing has 128GB. Consider how many apps, photos, videos, and offline files you keep on the phone before deciding whether the price gap is worthwhile.

Display

Both phones have a 6.74-inch LCD with 1600×720 resolution. The T5 Lite supports up to 120Hz and lists 1200-nit HBM brightness; the T5e lists 90Hz and 570-nit HBM. The higher refresh rate can make supported interface motion appear smoother, while the brightness figures are manufacturer specifications rather than a direct side-by-side measurement. Neither model has a higher listed display resolution in this comparison.

Battery and charging

vivo lists a 6500mAh battery and 44W charging for the T5 Lite, compared with 5500mAh and 15W for the T5e. Those figures make the T5 Lite the more capable option on paper for battery capacity and charging speed, but capacity alone cannot predict actual endurance. The cited sources do not establish comparative real-world battery life or charging times.

Cameras

The T5 Lite has a listed 50MP main rear camera alongside a 0.08MP secondary camera; the T5e lists an 8MP rear camera. Both have a 5MP front camera. The resolution difference does not, by itself, prove which phone takes better photos: no independent camera comparison or image-quality test is available in the cited sources.

Water and dust protection

vivo lists IP65 for the T5 Lite and IP64 for the T5e. These are ingress-protection ratings, not waterproof guarantees. The T5e product page specifically notes that protection is tested under controlled conditions and can decline over time; do not treat either phone as safe for submersion.

Which one should you choose?

Choose the vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G if

• You need 5G connectivity.
• You want the higher listed refresh rate, brighter HBM specification, or faster charging.
• You need more storage choices, including a 128GB base configuration and a 256GB option.
• You prefer the higher-resolution main rear camera specification, while recognizing that image quality has not been independently compared here.

Choose the vivo T5e if

• You are comfortable with 4G rather than 5G.
• You want the lower observed listed price and can manage with the listed 64GB storage.
• A 90Hz, HD+ LCD and 15W charging meet your needs.

Both are listed with Android 16 and Origin OS 6.0. The sources cited here do not establish how long either model will receive software updates, nor do they provide independent head-to-head tests of speed, cameras, or battery endurance.
