The vivo T4x 5G has the larger listed battery and faster rated charging; the moto g85 5G has a pOLED display with a higher refresh rate and a higher-resolution front camera. Neither is an across-the-board winner. Which is better depends on whether you value battery capacity and charging or display panel type and selfie-camera resolution—and the price comparison depends on matching the same memory configuration.

Specifications are from vivo India and Motorola Support India. The pages do not establish software-update commitments or current installed software on every handset. Both manufacturers also note that specifications may vary.
Which phone has the better display?
The moto g85 combines a pOLED panel with a 144 Hz listed refresh rate; the T4x uses a larger 6.72-inch LCD with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The g85 is the more appealing specification on paper if you prioritize panel type and refresh rate, while the T4x is slightly larger. Refresh rate describes how often the screen can update; it does not by itself establish overall display quality, which also depends on factors not compared in these specifications.

Which has better battery life and charging?
The T4x lists a 6500 mAh typical battery and charging up to 44 W, compared with the g85’s 5000 mAh battery and 33 W TurboPower. Those numbers favor the T4x on capacity and rated charging power. They do not show how long either phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it charges under the same conditions; no shared battery or charging test is established here.
How do their processors and cameras compare?
Processor
vivo lists the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G, while Motorola lists the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. The chipset names alone are not enough to declare a real-world speed winner. The available comparison does not establish equivalent independent test conditions for a dependable performance ranking.

Cameras
The T4x lists a 50 MP main rear camera, a 2 MP bokeh camera and an 8 MP front camera. The moto g85 lists a 50 MP main rear camera and a 32 MP front camera. The g85 therefore has the higher stated selfie-camera resolution, but megapixel counts do not establish which phone takes better photos; comparable image-quality testing is not available here.

What is the price difference in India?
The available prices are snapshots for different variants and sellers, not a verified like-for-like live comparison. The vivo India store listed the T4x 8 GB + 128 GB at ₹19,499 including taxes; a separate vivo comparison page listed the 6 GB + 128 GB model at ₹16,999. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot listed the T4x at ₹16,999 and the moto g85 at ₹17,840, with the g85 marked out of stock. The latter figures are secondary, stock-sensitive listings rather than guaranteed offers.

These figures do not establish a current price winner: the T4x prices refer to different memory configurations, and the third-party listing does not provide a dependable current offer for both models. Before buying, compare the same RAM and storage tier, seller, stock status and checkout price, and check whether any bank or exchange discount is included. Do not apply these India prices to another market.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the vivo T4x 5G if its larger listed battery and higher rated charging power matter most, or you want Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15 as listed on the specification page.
- Choose the moto g85 5G if you prefer a pOLED screen with a 144 Hz listed refresh rate or place more weight on its 32 MP front-camera specification.
- Compare prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor: use the same RAM and storage configuration and verify current stock and the final seller price.
What do the IP ratings mean?
vivo lists IP64 for the T4x and Motorola lists IP52 for the moto g85. These are stated ingress ratings, not promises that either phone is waterproof or immune to damage. vivo’s specification page includes controlled-test caveats; follow each manufacturer’s guidance and avoid treating a rating as permission to expose a phone to water.
