The POCO M7 Plus 5G suits buyers who want a larger, faster-refreshing display and a higher stated battery capacity; the vivo T4x 5G offers faster listed charging, a smaller screen, a Dimensity 7300 chipset, and 4K video recording support. Both had the same reported launch price for their 6 GB/128 GB variants, so the better buy depends on current stock, the exact configuration, and which features matter to you.

Specifications are not a substitute for hands-on results: battery capacity does not establish runtime, and camera megapixels do not establish image quality. The POCO camera configuration beyond its 50 MP main camera is not consistently established by the cited comparisons.
Display: POCO is larger and has a higher refresh rate
The POCO M7 Plus has the bigger screen at 6.9 inches and lists a 144 Hz refresh rate, compared with the vivo T4x’s 6.72-inch, 120 Hz display. That makes POCO the more obvious fit if screen size or the highest listed refresh rate is your priority. vivo’s official specifications list a 2408 × 1080 resolution; comparison sources list POCO at 2340 × 1080. 91mobiles lists higher pixel density for vivo, but a specification comparison alone does not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.
Battery and charging: capacity versus charging wattage
POCO lists a 7000 mAh battery, while vivo specifies 6500 mAh typical. vivo lists 44 W charging against POCO’s 33 W. These figures show a capacity advantage for POCO and a higher charging-wattage figure for vivo; they do not establish which phone lasts longer or how quickly either one charges in practice. No comparable runtime or charging-time test is established here.

Performance: two different chipsets, with a reported benchmark advantage for vivo
The vivo T4x uses MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and the POCO M7 Plus uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. 91mobiles reports Geekbench multi-core scores of 2,827 for vivo and 2,213 for POCO. Those are results displayed by that comparison source, not a controlled test conducted for this article, and they should not be read as a guarantee of how the phones compare in every app, game, or workload.
Cameras: similar listed resolutions, different video specifications
Both phones list a 50 MP main rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. vivo’s official specification page also lists a 2 MP bokeh camera and video recording up to 4K. Mint reports that POCO video recording is capped at 1080p. The figures help distinguish the listed features, but they do not establish equivalent photo quality or video performance.

Software and durability
The comparison sources list Android 15 on both phones, with Funtouch OS 15 on vivo and HyperOS 2 on POCO. Mint reports a promise of two major Android OS updates for POCO; check the current support terms and rollout details before buying, since a reported update promise does not confirm the status of every region or variant.
The sources list an IP64 rating for both models. Treat that as a rating rather than a claim that either phone is waterproof or permanently protected from liquid damage.

Price difference in India: compare the same RAM and storage
Moneycontrol’s comparison, dated 17 August 2025, reported a launch price of ₹13,999 for each phone’s 6 GB/128 GB variant, so the reported launch-price difference was ₹0. That historical figure is not a live offer.
When the 91mobiles comparison page was accessed on 7 October 2026, it displayed ₹16,999 for each model and marked the POCO out of stock. This is a dated comparison-page snapshot, not a guaranteed current selling price. Before choosing, check the checkout price and stock for the same RAM/storage configuration, retailer, and offer terms.
