The vivo T4 Ultra is the better fit if you want a dedicated 3× periscope camera, an ultrawide lens, a lighter phone, or the listed Dimensity 9300+. The vivo T5 Pro is the stronger match for a much larger stated battery, a larger 144 Hz display, Android 16, or higher stated water-and-dust protection. Neither spec sheet proves which phone takes better photos, lasts longer, or runs faster in everyday use.
Price needs a careful comparison: the vivo India store’s October 7, 2026 snapshot showed different memory configurations, and the T4 Ultra was out of stock. Check current availability and prices for matching RAM and storage before deciding.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the T4 Ultra for camera flexibility and a lighter body
The T4 Ultra lists three distinct rear cameras, including a 50 MP 3× periscope telephoto camera and an 8 MP ultrawide. That gives you dedicated hardware for zoom and wider framing that the T5 Pro’s listed 50 MP main and 2 MP bokeh cameras do not provide. It is also roughly 20 g lighter, based on the listed weights, and uses the Dimensity 9300+.

These are hardware differences, not proof of better image quality or faster everyday performance. The available specifications do not include comparable independent camera or performance tests for the two phones.
Choose the T5 Pro for battery capacity, display size, or protection rating
The T5 Pro lists a 9,020 mAh battery, a 6.83-inch 144 Hz AMOLED display, Android 16 with Origin OS 6.0, and IP68/IP69 protection. Those specs may suit you if capacity, a larger screen, newer listed software, or a higher ingress-protection rating is your deciding factor. The phone is heavier at 213 g.
Battery capacity is not a runtime test: the listed mAh figures do not tell you how many hours either phone will last for your mix of screen brightness, network use, apps, and refresh settings. Both list 90 W wired charging, but the specifications do not establish comparative charging time.

Camera comparison: the T4 Ultra has more dedicated options
The clearest camera distinction is the T4 Ultra’s dedicated 3× periscope and ultrawide lenses. The T5 Pro’s official listing names a main camera and a bokeh camera rather than dedicated telephoto and ultrawide cameras. Both list 32 MP front cameras.
Do not treat megapixel counts as a photo-quality ranking. Sensor details, image processing, and independently comparable sample testing are not established by these specifications, so they cannot show which phone produces better photos, especially in low light or at zoom.
Performance and software: different strengths, no measured winner
vivo lists the T4 Ultra with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ and Android 15/Funtouch OS 15; the T5 Pro uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 and Android 16/Origin OS 6.0. The chipset names and Android versions identify different hardware and software generations, but do not by themselves settle which phone feels faster or suits your software preferences better.

vivo reported an AnTuTu score of 1.2 million for the T5 Pro in its April 2026 launch announcement. That is a manufacturer-published benchmark claim; the announcement does not provide enough methodology to compare it with a T4 Ultra result. It should not be read as an independently reproduced head-to-head performance result.
Price difference: compare matching configurations and live stock
The following are distinct price types, not a like-for-like price comparison. The vivo India E-Store pages showed the listed offers on October 7, 2026; stock and live pricing can change.
| Model and configuration | Price information | Availability in store snapshot |
|---|---|---|
| T4 Ultra, 12GB/256GB | ₹37,999 store price; ₹42,999 MRP | Out of stock |
| T5 Pro, 8GB/128GB | ₹41,999 store price; ₹55,999 MRP | Listed on vivo India E-Store |
The store figures are from the T4 Ultra listing and T5 Pro listing. Because the two configurations differ in RAM and storage, the ₹37,999 and ₹41,999 offers do not establish a fair price difference between equivalent versions.

T5 Pro launch prices are historical, not current offers
vivo India announced these T5 Pro launch prices in April 2026:
- 8GB/128GB: ₹29,999
- 8GB/256GB: ₹33,999
- 12GB/256GB: ₹39,999
vivo announced T5 Pro sales from April 21, 2026. Launch offers included up to ₹3,000 off through a bank/UPI discount or exchange bonus and up to six months of no-cost EMI, with terms applying. These were launch-period offers, not a guarantee of the current price or eligibility. See vivo India’s launch announcement and sale announcement.

What both phones include, and what the ratings mean
vivo’s store and specification pages say both phones include a charger, case, and pre-applied protective film. You do not need to treat those included items as required add-on purchases.
The listed ratings are IP64 for the T4 Ultra and IP68/IP69 for the T5 Pro. These ratings are not interchangeable with a guarantee against every kind of water or dust exposure; follow the manufacturer’s care guidance rather than treating an IP rating as permission to deliberately expose a phone to liquids.
