The Redmi Turbo 5 has the larger listed battery and higher wired-charging rating, while the vivo T4 Ultra adds a dedicated 3x periscope camera. On the India-market prices reviewed, the T4 Ultra’s listed price was lower—but its 8GB+256GB variant was out of stock. These are manufacturer specifications and a dated price snapshot, not results from comparative testing.

Specifications are from the Xiaomi India product page and vivo India specification page. Xiaomi’s brightness figures carry specific 1% and 25% OPR conditions, while vivo labels its figure HBM; the values are not directly comparable measurements. Ingress ratings are manufacturer-listed classifications, not guarantees against damage in every situation.
Price difference in India
In the reviewed official-store snapshot, Xiaomi listed the Redmi Turbo 5 from ₹41,999, alongside a ₹54,999 marketing price. vivo listed the T4 Ultra 8GB+256GB at ₹35,999 against an MRP of ₹40,999, but that selected variant was marked out of stock. The listed starting price for Xiaomi is not necessarily a like-for-like RAM and storage comparison with vivo’s specific variant.

Which phone has the better camera hardware?
Choose the T4 Ultra for a dedicated 3x camera
The T4 Ultra’s listed rear setup combines a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a separate 50MP 3x periscope camera. That gives it a dedicated telephoto option absent from the Turbo 5’s listed 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide pair.
Do not treat megapixels as a photo-quality verdict
The specification difference indicates greater camera versatility on paper, particularly for subjects that benefit from optical reach. It does not establish which phone takes better photos or videos; that requires comparable sample images and testing. The listed front-camera resolutions are 32MP for vivo and 20MP for Xiaomi, but resolution alone does not determine selfie quality.

Battery, charging and display trade-offs
Redmi Turbo 5 leads on rated battery capacity and charging wattage
Xiaomi lists a 7540mAh battery and 100W wired charging for the Turbo 5, compared with 5500mAh and 90W for the T4 Ultra. Xiaomi also lists 27W wired reverse charging. These ratings favor the Turbo 5 on paper, but they do not establish actual battery life or charge time; those depend on usage, software, charging conditions and testing.

Both displays list 120Hz, with different sizes and specifications
The T4 Ultra has the larger listed screen at 6.67 inches and a stated resolution of 2800×1260. Xiaomi describes the Turbo 5’s 6.59-inch panel as 1.5K AMOLED. Both are listed at 120Hz. Xiaomi’s 3500-nit claim specifies 1% and 25% OPR conditions, whereas vivo lists 1600 nits HBM, so those brightness figures should not be read as a direct head-to-head result.

Performance, software and durability
Chipset names do not settle which is faster
The phones use different MediaTek processors: Dimensity 9300+ 5G in the T4 Ultra and Dimensity 8500-Ultra in the Turbo 5. The specifications alone do not establish which delivers better gaming, sustained performance or efficiency. If those are your priorities, look for independent tests of the exact India variants running comparable software.
Software versions can change
The vivo specification page lists Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15. Xiaomi’s product page refers to HyperOS 3, while the comparison source lists Android 16 for the Turbo 5. Software versions may vary by update and market variant; confirm the version and update policy on the current listing for the device you intend to buy.

Ratings are not damage-proof promises
vivo lists IP64 for the T4 Ultra; Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K for the Turbo 5. Treat these as stated ingress ratings, not a promise that either phone is waterproof or immune to damage.
Check availability before choosing
Xiaomi’s India phone listing showed a Turbo 5 price, but its event page still displayed “COMING SOON.” That conflict makes a live stock check especially important. Xiaomi’s event page and product page may not show the same status. A September 2026 comparison from Gadgets Now gives launch dates of June 19, 2026 for the Turbo 5 and June 18, 2025 for the T4 Ultra; treat those dates as secondary-source context.

Which one should you buy?
- Pick the Redmi Turbo 5 if the higher listed battery capacity and charging wattage matter most, you prefer the slightly smaller display, and you can confirm the variant is available at a price you accept.
- Pick the vivo T4 Ultra if you specifically want a dedicated 3x periscope camera. Its reviewed ₹35,999 listing was for 8GB+256GB and marked out of stock, so check current stock and pricing rather than assuming it remains the cheaper option.
- For gaming or sustained speed, decide using independent tests of the precise India-market models and software versions; the processor names do not prove a performance winner.
