The vivo T4 Pro has the sharper AMOLED display, a listed periscope telephoto camera, a higher-resolution selfie camera, and faster rated charging. The vivo Y51 Pro 5G has the larger advertised battery and lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6. On vivo India’s store, the selected 8GB/128GB T4 Pro was shown at ₹27,999 and the Y51 Pro at ₹34,999—a ₹7,000 displayed difference, although both listings were unavailable when checked.

Display: T4 Pro has the higher resolution and AMOLED panel
The screen sizes are close: 6.77 inches on the T4 Pro and 6.75 inches on the Y51 Pro. The listed panels differ more substantially. The T4 Pro uses AMOLED at 2392 × 1080, while the Y51 Pro uses LCD at 1570 × 720. If resolution and AMOLED technology are priorities, the specifications favor the T4 Pro. Both are listed at up to 120 Hz, but that shared refresh-rate figure does not make their display technologies or resolutions equivalent.

The T4 Pro’s listed rear setup is a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 2 MP bokeh camera. The Y51 Pro lists two rear cameras: 50 MP and 2 MP. The T4 Pro also lists a 32 MP front camera compared with 8 MP on the Y51 Pro.

These are hardware and resolution comparisons only. They do not establish which phone takes better photographs, how well either camera performs in low light, or the quality of its zoom. Sensor resolution alone is not a measure of image quality.
Battery and charging: capacity favors Y51 Pro; rated charging favors T4 Pro
vivo lists a typical battery capacity of 7200 mAh for the Y51 Pro and 6500 mAh for the T4 Pro. That makes the Y51 Pro larger on advertised capacity, but it does not establish longer real-world battery life. vivo lists up to 90W charging for the T4 Pro and 44W for the Y51 Pro. Those ratings do not establish an exact charging time: actual power can vary with usage and conditions, and vivo says the Y51 Pro’s charging power is dynamically adjusted.

Software and updates: Android version is not the same as update commitment
The Y51 Pro is listed with Android 16 and OriginOS 6; the T4 Pro is listed with Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15. The T4 Pro’s vivo store listing states four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates. An equivalent update commitment for the Y51 Pro is not established here, so its later listed Android version should not be taken as proof of longer support.
Price difference in India
In vivo India E-store listings observed in 2026, the selected 8GB/128GB T4 Pro was priced at ₹27,999 against an MRP of ₹32,999, while the selected 8GB/128GB Y51 Pro was ₹34,999. The displayed difference is ₹7,000, with the Y51 Pro higher. These are volatile store observations for specific variants, not guaranteed current street prices or a price gap that necessarily applies across other configurations and sellers. Both selected listings were marked out of stock or unavailable when checked. vivo’s T4 Pro launch release also gives a starting price of INR 27,999; a primary-source historical Y51 Pro launch price is not established.

Durability ratings and practical caveats
Both phones list IP68 and IP69 ratings. vivo says the T4 Pro ratings are based on controlled laboratory conditions under IEC 60529 testing; resistance is not permanent and liquid damage is not covered by warranty. The Y51 Pro parameter page notes that product details can vary between batches and that its supplied standard charger supports maximum 44W charging, with actual power dynamically adjusted.
vivo’s listed weights are 192 g for the T4 Pro and 219 g for the Y51 Pro, making the T4 Pro 27 g lighter on those specifications. The processors are named as Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and Dimensity 7360-Turbo respectively, but without comparable benchmark results, the chip names alone do not establish a performance winner.

Choose the vivo T4 Pro if these specifications matter more
- You want the higher-resolution AMOLED display.
- You value having a listed periscope telephoto camera and a 32 MP front-camera sensor.
- You prefer the higher listed charging rating or the lower listed weight.
- The stated four-year Android OS and six-year security update commitment is important to your decision.
Choose the vivo Y51 Pro if these specifications matter more
- You prioritize its larger advertised 7200 mAh typical battery capacity.
- You prefer the listed Android 16 and OriginOS 6 software combination.
- You have checked its current price, exact variant, and availability and find that configuration better suited to your needs.
