For the same 8GB + 128GB configuration, vivo India’s online store displayed ₹27,999 for the vivo T4 Pro 5G and ₹41,999 for the vivo T5 Pro 5G when checked on 7 October 2026, a gap of ₹14,000. The T5 Pro has the larger battery, the larger and higher-refresh screen, and the higher listed price. The T4 Pro has the dedicated optical telephoto camera and the lower price. Which one makes sense depends mainly on whether you want zoom hardware or a bigger battery and display, and on how much of the price gap you are willing to pay.
Price difference: what you pay for the same storage tier
Prices on vivo’s store change, and the figures below are the displayed prices from the checks described in each row. They are not guaranteed and do not include bank offers, exchange deals or marketplace listings.
| Variant | vivo T4 Pro 5G (displayed price) | vivo T5 Pro 5G (displayed price) | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8GB + 128GB | ₹27,999 | ₹41,999 | ₹14,000 (T5 Pro higher) |
| 12GB and 256GB options | Listed as available; prices not stated in the pages checked | Listed as available; prices not stated in the pages checked | Not established |
The ₹14,000 gap compares only the 8GB + 128GB variant. Do not assume the gap is the same at other memory and storage combinations. Launch-stage coverage from Moneycontrol, dated 16 April 2026, is useful for launch context, but its figures do not reflect vivo’s current store prices, so use the store listing for any purchase decision.

Battery and charging
The T5 Pro’s listed capacity is 9020 mAh, against the T4 Pro’s 6500 mAh typical figure. Both list 90W charging. The difference is in the capacity figures only. Neither listing gives a runtime test, screen-on time or endurance result, so a larger number on paper does not translate into a measured longer day. Your own usage pattern, the screen’s refresh setting and the software will shape real-world battery life.
Display
The T5 Pro has the bigger and sharper panel on paper. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED screen is listed at 2800 × 1260 with refresh rates up to 144Hz. The T4 Pro’s 6.77-inch AMOLED is listed at 2392 × 1080. A higher resolution and refresh rate are visible advantages in principle, especially for scrolling and gaming, but the listings do not show how either screen performs for colour accuracy, brightness or motion handling.

Cameras: zoom hardware versus a larger main sensor setup
The two phones take different approaches to the rear camera array.

- T4 Pro: 50MP OIS main, a dedicated 50MP OIS periscope telephoto camera, and a 2MP bokeh sensor. The telephoto lens is the main hardware reason to choose this phone for zoom.
- T5 Pro: 50MP Sony IMX882 main and a 2MP bokeh sensor. The listing does not show a dedicated telephoto lens.
Both front cameras are listed at 32MP. Equal megapixel counts do not show that the two phones produce the same photos, and neither listing supports a claim that one takes better images. Judge camera quality from sample images and reviews that test these exact models.

Processor
The T4 Pro uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and the T5 Pro uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. These are different chipsets, but the sources checked do not include benchmark or real-world performance comparisons, so this article does not rank them.
Software and update promises
The T4 Pro’s listing states Funtouch OS 15 and a promise of 4 Android OS updates and 6 years of security updates. The T5 Pro’s listing states Origin OS 6.0 with Android 16. The T5 Pro pages checked do not state an update promise, so there is no like-for-like statement about how long each phone will receive updates. If long-term support is a priority, check vivo’s current update policy for the T5 Pro before buying.

Water and dust protection
Both listings state IP68 and IP69 ratings. Those ratings are tested under specific laboratory conditions, and the pages checked do not spell out the test details. Treat the rating as a manufacturer claim about protection against dust and water, not as permission to use the phone in every wet or submerged situation.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the T4 Pro if you want a dedicated telephoto camera and the lower price matters, and you are comfortable with a smaller 6.77-inch 1080-class screen and a smaller listed battery.
- Choose the T5 Pro if battery capacity, screen size and refresh rate matter more to you than zoom hardware, and the ₹14,000 extra fits your budget.
- Check the variant first. Compare the same memory and storage combination on the same day, because the gap is only established for 8GB + 128GB.
- Check the update promise and warranty terms on the store page you are buying from, since the listings do not give a directly comparable support period.
Before you buy
Verify the current price, stock status and any offers at the point of purchase. The specifications above are what vivo India’s pages stated when checked on 7 October 2026. If a figure matters to your decision, such as weight on the T4 Pro, confirm it on the current product page.
