The vivo T4 Pro is the clearer choice if you want a dedicated 3x periscope camera and faster listed charging; the vivo T5 5G overview claims a larger battery and faster, higher-resolution display. But vivo’s own T5 pages disagree on key specifications, so verify the exact model before buying. A current, reliable price difference is not established by the available official information.
vivo T4 Pro vs vivo T5 5G: specs comparison
The figures below come from vivo India product pages accessed on October 7, 2026. They are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. T5 5G values are split by source because its overview and parameter page conflict materially.

Why the T5 5G specifications need verification
The two vivo T5 5G pages do not describe a consistent configuration: they give different display types and refresh rates, processors, and battery capacities. The overview says AMOLED at 144 Hz, Dimensity 7500 Turbo, and 7,050 mAh typical; the parameter page says LCD at up to 120 Hz, Dimensity 7400-Turbo, and 6,720 mAh. The camera information also cannot be fully reconciled from those pages.

This is not a small rounding difference. Before paying, compare the model code and full specifications shown for the specific India-market unit and seller with vivo’s current listing or support information. Do not assume the overview’s more attractive figures apply to every T5 5G listing.
Which phone has the more useful camera setup?
T4 Pro: dedicated 3x optical hardware
The T4 Pro’s listed 50 MP 3x periscope camera is its clearest camera distinction. It gives the phone dedicated telephoto hardware alongside a 50 MP OIS main camera and 2 MP bokeh camera. This is a hardware comparison, not proof that the T4 Pro takes better photos in every condition.

T5 5G: overview lists an ultrawide
The T5 5G overview lists a 50 MP OIS main camera and 8 MP ultrawide. An ultrawide and a 3x periscope serve different framing needs: the former captures a broader scene, while the latter is a dedicated longer focal-length camera. Verify the T5 camera configuration for the exact unit because the official pages conflict.

On the overview’s figures, the T5 5G has a larger typical battery than the T4 Pro, while the T4 Pro supports higher listed charging power. Those figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in real use or how quickly either charges: actual endurance depends on use, and charging time depends on conditions as well as the phone and charger. vivo lists the T4 Pro at up to 90 W and the T5 overview at 44 W; these are maximum power specifications, not comparative charging tests.

vivo says the T4 Pro retained at least 80% battery capacity after 1,300 complete charge cycles in its laboratory testing, which it equates to about four years under its simulated charging pattern. For the T5 5G, the parameter page claims at least 80% after 1,600 complete cycles, or about five years under vivo’s simulated pattern. The T5 claim belongs to the parameter page and does not resolve which battery configuration applies. These are manufacturer laboratory claims, not a guarantee of an individual phone’s lifespan.
Display and performance: avoid treating unlike claims as a head-to-head test
If the T5 overview is accurate for the unit being considered, its stated 144 Hz, 1.5K AMOLED display is a higher-refresh-rate option than the T4 Pro’s listed 120 Hz AMOLED display. But the T5 parameter page instead describes an LCD with up to 120 Hz. The conflict makes a confident display recommendation premature until the unit’s specification is confirmed.

The processor names also differ between T5 pages, so a chipset comparison based on the overview alone may not match the phone being sold. vivo’s overview pages publish AnTuTu figures, but their test versions and configurations differ: the T4 Pro figure is 1,022,305 on AnTuTu V10.5.1 for an 8 GB + 128 GB version at 26°C; the T5 overview gives 1,202,592 on AnTuTu V11 for a 12 GB + 256 GB edition. These are not a controlled head-to-head result and should not be used to declare a performance winner.

For a fair comparison, check both phones’ exact RAM/storage variants and seller at the same time. Keep the listed price, any offer price, and any bank-dependent effective price separate; an advertised effective price may not be available to every buyer. Recheck stock and the model code before ordering.
Water resistance and warranty caveats
vivo advertises IP68/IP69-class protection for both phones, though the T5 parameter page uses the wording IP68 and IP69+. Ratings describe resistance under specified conditions; they do not mean a phone is permanently waterproof. vivo cautions that resistance can decline over time and that liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. Consult the applicable product and warranty terms before exposing either phone to water.
