For India buyers comparing the 4GB+128GB versions, vivo’s store displayed the T4 Lite 5G at ₹18,999 and the vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G at ₹20,499 when checked on October 7, 2026—a ₹1,500 difference. Both list the same Dimensity 6300 5G processor and 6.74-inch, 1600×720 LCD. The T5 Lite’s listed advantages are a 6500 mAh battery, 44W charging, a 120 Hz refresh rate and an IP65 rating; the T4 Lite lists a typical 6000 mAh battery, up to 15W charging, 90 Hz and IP64.
How much more does the T5 Lite cost?
The like-for-like comparison is between the 4GB+128GB India-store configurations. On October 7, 2026, vivo’s E-Store displayed the T4 Lite 5G at ₹18,999 and the T5 Lite 44W 5G at ₹20,499, making the T5 Lite ₹1,500 more at the time of access. Configuration matters: the T4 Lite is also listed in 4GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants. The T5 Lite listing includes 6GB+128GB and 6GB+256GB alongside 4GB+128GB. For context, the T4 Lite 4GB+64GB listing showed ₹16,999, while the T5 Lite listing showed ₹22,999 for 6GB+128GB. Those are different storage or memory configurations, so they should not be treated as the same comparison as the ₹1,500 like-for-like gap.

These are manufacturer-listed specifications. The figures do not establish real-world battery life, charging time, display performance or camera quality. vivo says the T4 Lite’s 90 Hz refresh rate does not apply in every scenario and that performance may vary with software version, test environment and model. The exact software configuration and update status should also be checked for the device being sold.

Does the T5 Lite’s extra ₹1,500 buy a meaningful upgrade?
Charging and battery capacity
The T5 Lite lists a 6500 mAh battery and 44W charging, versus the T4 Lite’s 6000 mAh typical capacity and up-to-15W charging. That is a notable difference on paper if charging speed and stated capacity are priorities. It is not proof of a particular runtime or charging time: no independent head-to-head battery test is established here.
Refresh rate and resolution
Both phones have the same listed 6.74-inch, 1600×720 LCD. The T5 Lite lists 120 Hz against the T4 Lite’s 90 Hz, but a higher maximum refresh rate does not guarantee that every app or use case runs at that rate. The shared resolution and chipset mean the specification list does not point to a different screen size, pixel resolution or processor generation.

Dust and water protection
The T5 Lite’s listed IP65 rating is higher than the T4 Lite’s IP64, but neither should be described as waterproof. vivo warns of wear over time on the T4 Lite product page: “The resistance to splashes, water and dust is not permanent and may be reduced due to daily wear and tear.” Treat the ratings as product specifications, not a reason to expose either phone deliberately to water.

The available vivo pages name Funtouch OS 15 with Android 15 for the T4 Lite and Origin OS 6.0 for the T5 Lite. Confirm the exact software on the specific India-market unit and its update status rather than assuming the names alone settle which experience or support it will provide. The camera listings differ in rear-camera detail—the T4 Lite names a 50 MP AI main camera plus a 2 MP bokeh camera, while the T5 Lite lists a 50 MP main camera. Megapixel counts and camera labels alone do not determine photo quality; no independent camera comparison is established.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the T4 Lite 5G if the lower observed 4GB+128GB price matters more and its listed 90 Hz display and up-to-15W charging meet your needs.
- Consider the T5 Lite 44W 5G if you value the listed 44W charging, 6500 mAh battery, 120 Hz refresh rate and IP65 rating enough to consider the ₹1,500 observed premium.
This is a specification-and-price trade-off, not a tested performance verdict. Make the price comparison using the same RAM and storage tier, and verify the current India-store price before purchase.
