The Moto G96 5G stands out for its curved 144 Hz display, listed IP68 protection, larger battery and lower listed weight. The vivo T3 5G is the stronger value proposition at the observed listing prices, and it adds hybrid microSD expansion, a flat 120 Hz display and faster stated charging. The right choice depends on which of those differences matters most—and on the price of the same storage variant at checkout.

The T3 uses a flat AMOLED panel rated at 120 Hz. Its flat edges are a more conventional alternative if you would rather avoid a curved display. The stated brightness figures use different manufacturer terms—local peak brightness for vivo and peak brightness plus HBM for Motorola—so they are not a direct like-for-like brightness test.

Battery and charging: capacity is not a runtime test
The Moto’s stated 5500 mAh capacity is larger than the T3’s 5000 mAh. vivo lists higher charging power: 44 W compared with the Moto’s 33 W. Those figures alone do not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it charges under real conditions. vivo notes that charging power changes dynamically with battery level and usage; its specification page says the included standard charger supports up to 44 W.
Cameras: compare hardware, not megapixel counts alone
vivo specifies a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside a 2 MP secondary camera. The Moto is listed with a 50 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 32 MP selfie camera on the secondary comparison page. The Moto’s listed front-camera resolution is higher, but megapixels do not by themselves determine photo quality. Because those Moto camera details are not established here from an official India product specification, verify the exact SKU before treating them as definitive.
Storage, software and durability
Expandable storage
The vivo T3 has a hybrid SIM/microSD slot, making it the option to consider if you want memory-card expansion. Motorola lists no memory-card slot for the G96 5G.

Software versions
The listed configurations show Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 for the T3 and Android 15 for the Moto. These are manufacturer-listed software baselines, not confirmation of the version currently installed on a particular device or a promise about how long it will receive updates.
Protection and weight
Motorola lists IP68 protection for the G96 5G, and its listed weight is 178 g. The vivo official parameter page reviewed does not specify an IP rating; a secondary comparison reports IP54, but that rating should not be assumed for every unit or market without confirmation. vivo lists the T3 at 185.5 g in Cosmic Blue and 188 g in Crystal Flake.
Price difference in India
On 4 October 2026, 91mobiles displayed the vivo T3 at ₹18,499 from Flipkart and the Moto G96 5G at ₹27,989 from Amazon. The page snapshot does not establish matching storage variants, seller terms, active offers or final checkout totals.

Performance claims: why there is no benchmark winner here
The phones use different processors, but the available comparison figures do not establish a fair, dated, method-documented head-to-head test. vivo’s product page reports a 734,924+ AnTuTu score from its own lab for the 8 GB + 256 GB T3 edition, without stating the statistic’s year. The comparison page’s Geekbench and battery-test figures do not provide enough information here about test dates, protocols or configurations to treat them as dependable predictions of everyday performance. For that reason, the processor names are useful identification, not proof of a universal speed winner.
