The vivo T3 Pro 5G lists faster 80W charging and an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera; the vivo T4R 5G lists IP68/IP69 protection, a 32 MP selfie camera, and a newer software version at listing. Both have a 6.77-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display. Vivo Store prices captured on October 7, 2026, were for different storage configurations, so they do not establish a like-for-like price difference.

How the camera setups differ
T3 Pro: an ultra-wide secondary camera
The T3 Pro pairs its 50 MP main camera with an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. That gives it a listed lens type suited to fitting more of a scene into a frame. The specifications alone do not establish how its photos compare with the T4R in image quality, low light, or video.

T4R: higher-resolution selfie camera, bokeh rear camera
The T4R lists a 32 MP front camera and a 50 MP Sony OIS main rear camera, plus a 2 MP bokeh camera. Its secondary rear camera is not an ultra-wide camera, so the T3 Pro has the clearer specification advantage if an ultra-wide field of view is important. Megapixel counts do not by themselves determine photo quality.
Display, battery, and charging
Both phones list the same display size, resolution, and refresh rate: a 6.77-inch, 2392×1080 AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Vivo also lists a 4500-nit local peak brightness claim for the T3 Pro; that is a local peak figure, not a sustained full-screen brightness measurement.

The T4R has the larger stated battery capacity: 5700 mAh typical and 5570 mAh rated, compared with 5500 mAh for the T3 Pro. Capacity figures do not establish which phone lasts longer in ordinary use, because battery endurance depends on workload and other factors.

Water and dust resistance: what IP64, IP68, and IP69 mean here
The T3 Pro is listed as IP64, while the T4R is listed as IP68 and IP69. These ratings are not a promise that either phone is waterproof, and an IP rating does not mean liquid damage is covered by warranty.
For the T4R, Vivo says its IP68 testing uses specified controlled conditions, including 1.5 meters of non-flowing water for 30 minutes, and its IP69 testing uses specified hot-water jets. Vivo also says the phone is not a professional waterproof phone, resistance can decline with everyday use, and liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Treat the ratings as limited test-condition claims, not permission to expose the phone routinely to water. See Vivo’s T4R specification page for the manufacturer’s conditions and cautions.

The apparent ₹3,000 gap between ₹29,999 and ₹26,999 compares the T3 Pro’s 8GB+128GB configuration with the T4R’s 12GB+256GB configuration. It is not a like-for-like comparison, and the selected T4R variant was unavailable when accessed. Compare the same RAM and storage tier, then check the live listing and final checkout amount before deciding which costs less.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Software, performance, and updates
At listing, the T4R had Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, while the T3 Pro had Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14. Vivo states that the T4R is guaranteed two years of OS upgrades and up to three years of security updates. That published commitment is specific to the T4R; the cited product information does not establish a corresponding T3 Pro update commitment.
The processor names and manufacturing-process figures do not establish which phone is faster in games or everyday use. Vivo’s separate vendor figures are not a controlled head-to-head test, and no independent comparison result is available here. The T4R’s 12GB RAM option may appeal if you want that listed configuration, but software-based extended RAM should not be treated as equivalent to physical RAM.
Vivo’s T4R product overview also advertises two years of OS upgrades and up to three years of security updates: Vivo T4R product overview.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the T3 Pro for its listed charging and rear-camera configuration: It has 80W charging and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, compared with the T4R’s 44W maximum charging and 2 MP bokeh secondary rear camera. This is a fit based on specifications, not measured charging or camera performance.
- Consider the T4R for its listed protection, selfie camera, and software: It offers IP68/IP69 ratings with the stated restrictions, a 32 MP front camera, Android 15 at listing, and a 12GB RAM configuration.
- For battery life or speed, avoid deciding from one number or product name: The capacity figures and processor labels do not prove which phone lasts longer or performs better for your workload.
- For value, check current matching configurations: Compare the same RAM and storage tier and the final price shown for an available variant, rather than relying on the captured prices for different tiers.
Both manufacturers’ specification pages list a charger, USB cable, phone case, and pre-applied protective film in the box. Check the contents for the exact SKU you buy.
