Consider the vivo S2 FE only if its confirmed specifications and India launch terms suit you; do not choose between it and the POCO X8 Power on a spec-sheet comparison yet. As of October 7, 2026, vivo has officially announced the S2 FE, but no official POCO or Xiaomi source located confirms a POCO X8 Power. The reported 10,000mAh battery and 100W charging for that POCO remain secondary-source claims.
What is confirmed about each phone?
The vivo S2 FE is listed on vivo India’s specification page and covered by the company’s October 6, 2026 India announcement. The POCO X8 Power is not confirmed by an official source identified here. A regular POCO X8 is listed on Xiaomi Singapore’s site, but it is a different named model and its specifications should not be substituted for the alleged Power edition.

The official Xiaomi Singapore page for the regular POCO X8 lists an 8,340mAh battery, 67W HyperCharge, a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and a 50MP main camera with OIS (Xiaomi Singapore POCO X8 specifications). These are specifications for the regular X8, not evidence for or against a separately named X8 Power.

Yes, in the sense that vivo lists 10,000mAh as its typical battery capacity. The same specification lists the rated capacity as 9,800mAh. Typical and rated capacity are distinct figures, so the 10,000mAh headline should not be read as the rated value.

vivo lists 44W charging. Its release also says the phone supports 6W reverse charging over Type-C, subject to compatibility caveats. Neither the stated capacity nor wattage alone establishes how long the phone lasts or how quickly it charges in ordinary use: those outcomes depend on the phone and conditions, and no matched independent endurance or charging test for these two models is established here.
What do vivo’s battery-life claims mean?
30-hour binge-watching claim
vivo reports up to 30 hours of binge-watching in a single-app laboratory test at 25°C ±2°C, using Wi-Fi, 150-nit screen brightness and 63dB volume. Treat this as a manufacturer test result under those conditions, not a promise of 30 hours for every viewer, app or network environment.
Battery-cycle claim
vivo says the battery is designed to retain at least 80% capacity after 1,400 full cycles. The company attributes this to laboratory simulation at 23°C ±2°C and says its assumed pattern of 1.83 days per charge/discharge corresponds to about seven years. This is vivo’s simulated estimate, not an independent long-term test or a guarantee for a particular owner’s charging habits.

vivo’s release cites a Guinness World Records livestream lasting 32 hours and 37 minutes. Its footnote says the record attempt involved a vivo V80 Lite 5G in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on August 11, 2026, marketed as S2 FE in India. That event is not a measure of ordinary battery runtime or an independent review of the India model.

What does the vivo S2 FE cost, and when can you buy it?
vivo India announced launch prices of INR 38,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage version and INR 42,999 for the 8GB/128GB version. These are announced India launch prices, not a guarantee of the price at a retailer today. vivo announced sales from October 20, 2026, via partner retail stores, vivo’s official website, Flipkart and Amazon India. Because that date is after October 7, 2026, when the available announcement was dated, check the seller for current stock and price.
Which one should you consider?
Consider the vivo S2 FE if you need a confirmed listing
It has an official India specification page, published configurations and launch pricing, plus a stated sale date. You can compare those known details against your needs now, while treating vivo’s battery tests as conditional manufacturer claims rather than independent benchmarks.
Wait on the POCO X8 Power if its reported specifications are driving your choice
The 91mobiles report gives the alleged model a lower starting price and higher charging wattage than the S2 FE, along with a 10,000mAh battery. Without official POCO/Xiaomi confirmation, those figures—and the model’s India availability—are not settled enough to support a dependable purchase comparison. Do not use the regular POCO X8’s official specifications as a stand-in.
