The VisionTek XTasy GeForce4 Ti4400 is a 128MB DDR graphics card for an AGP slot, released in the GeForce4 era. Period specifications list a 275MHz core, 550MHz DDR memory clock, and VGA, S-Video, and DVI outputs. If you are identifying a card or considering a used listing, check its exact configuration and physical condition: period reviews cannot establish the state or compatibility of a surviving card.
How to identify the VisionTek XTasy Ti4400
VisionTek’s XTasy GeForce4 Ti4400 is a physical AGP graphics card with 128MB of DDR memory. HEXUS reported a 275MHz core and 550MHz DDR memory clock; AnandTech reported the same clocks and identified the memory on its reviewed card as Samsung 3.6ns DDR. These are period reports of the reviewed configuration, not measurements of every surviving board. HEXUS (April 1, 2002); AnandTech (April 29, 2002).
HotHardware’s review also describes a 128MB DDR AGP card with the same clocks, an active heatsink fan, and 8.8GB/s bandwidth. One specification line on that page appears to misidentify the controller as a Ti4600; the product is named and discussed throughout the review as a Ti4400. The Ti4400 identification and clock figures are corroborated by HEXUS and AnandTech. HotHardware (April 9, 2002).
Ports and display hardware
HEXUS lists VGA, S-Video, and DVI connectors. AnandTech identifies a Conexant CX25871-14 video encoder and a Silicon Image 164 TMDS transmitter on its reviewed card. The port list is useful when checking photos, but the exact outputs and included cables or adapters should be verified on an individual listing.

What the Ti4400 offered in its era
The Ti4400 occupied the middle position between the GeForce4 Ti4200 and Ti4600. NVIDIA’s 2002 product overview lists 4.4 billion antialiasing samples per second, 125 million vertices per second, 8.8GB/s memory bandwidth, and support for up to 128MB of memory. These are published period specifications, not modern benchmark results. NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti Product Overview (2002, archived by VGA Museum).
The generation’s advertised features included nfiniteFX II programmable vertex and pixel shaders, Accuview antialiasing, nView multi-display support, Lightspeed Memory Architecture II, and hardware video processing. NVIDIA’s overview specifies DirectX 8.1 and OpenGL 1.3. These describe the card’s historical feature set; they do not imply current driver support or compatibility with present-day games and operating systems.

- PCI compatible with fast writes
- 256-bit 3-D and 2-D graphics accelerator
- Integrated TV encoder
- Integrated 350 MHz DAC
- NVIDIA nView display technologies
HEXUS described the card as a 1.5V AGP device supporting AGP 4x and Fast Writes. NVIDIA also listed dual 350MHz RAMDACs. Those details help identify its period platform, but do not establish that it will work in a particular motherboard: verify the host system’s slot, power, display connection, and operating system requirements before buying.

What came in the original package
Package contents differed by review and should not be assumed for a used card. HotHardware reports a quick-start guide, installation and driver CD, CyberLink PowerDVD, and PowerDirector. AnandTech also lists PowerDVD and PowerDirector, describes the bundle as sparse, and says its reviewed retail package did not include a DVI-to-VGA adapter. HotHardware; AnandTech.
