A report published by The Nerd Stash on October 2, 2026, describes a bystander-filmed video that allegedly shows a Virginia daycare worker handling children roughly, including appearing to pull one child’s hair. The report does not name the daycare or worker. It says the person who posted the video reported police contact and Child Protective Services (CPS) involvement, but it does not include independent confirmation from either agency or an official finding about what happened.
What the report says the video shows
The Nerd Stash identifies the video’s poster as @isabelitaharrison and describes a clip showing two workers sitting outside with children. According to the outlet’s account of the social-media video, one worker allegedly pulled a child by the hand, raised her voice, slapped a child’s hand, appeared to pinch a child’s arm, and appeared not to respond to a crying child while using a phone. The report also says the worker appeared to pull a child in a blue shirt by the hair. These are descriptions of a video reported by the outlet, not independently established findings; the report does not supply the full original video context.
The post’s Spanish caption, “NO DEJEN A SUS HIJOS CON CUALQUIERA” (“Don’t leave your children with just anyone”), and comments such as “Fuming watching this” were also quoted in the report. They reflect the poster’s message and viewers’ reactions, not official conclusions about the incident.
What is known about police and CPS involvement
The Nerd Stash reports that the poster later said police contacted her after threats were reportedly made and that she went to the Fairfax Police Department to file a report. The outlet also says a subsequent update from the poster indicated that police and CPS knew about the situation. Those details are attributed to the poster; the article does not include confirmation from Fairfax police or Virginia DSS, nor does it report an official case outcome.

How Virginia handles daycare abuse or neglect reports
Virginia Department of Social Services (DSS) says suspected abuse or neglect in out-of-family settings, including daycare programs, must be investigated. In a CPS investigation, staff assess a child’s safety, interview relevant people, observe the setting, check for prior reports, and may develop a safety plan. These are statewide procedures; they do not confirm that a particular investigation has begun in this incident. See Virginia DSS: CPS Investigations and Virginia DSS: Out-of-Family Investigations.

DSS says investigations generally must be completed within 45 to 60 days. The period may extend to 90 days when law enforcement is also investigating, and specified cases can have additional timing exceptions. After reviewing the information, CPS determines whether a report is “founded” or “unfounded”; DSS defines founded as information showing it is more likely than not that abuse or neglect occurred.

A CPS administrative finding is separate from a criminal case. Law enforcement and the Commonwealth’s Attorney decide whether criminal charges will be filed. None of these statewide rules establishes the status or outcome of the video-related claims.
