Changes reported on October 7, 2026, include a higher Virgin Plus talk-and-text price and smaller data allowances on three Public Mobile Canada-US-Mexico 5G plans. MobileSyrup reported the changes on October 8; these are dated offer details, not a guarantee the plans remain available. Check each carrier’s current prices and terms before switching.
What changed on Virgin Plus?
According to MobileSyrup’s October 8, 2026 report, Virgin Plus removed its $45 per month, 20GB plan on October 7. The report listed these options in the highlighted lineup:
- $50 per month for 60GB. The reported price includes a $10 monthly autopay credit.
- $55 per month for 60GB with Canada-US-Mexico coverage. This reported price also includes a $10 monthly autopay credit.
Virgin Plus also raised the price of its talk-and-text plan from $25 to $30 per month, the report says. It does not establish whether the removed plan or listed offers remain available now.
What changed on Public Mobile?
MobileSyrup reported that Public Mobile removed its $35 per month, 25GB 5G Canada-US-Mexico offer. Three other 5G plans covering Canada, the United States and Mexico retained their reported monthly prices but came with less data:

Public Mobile’s official plans page is dynamic. Its available information does not independently confirm the October 7 changes, so use it to check the offer and terms currently displayed rather than as confirmation of the dated report. The report likewise does not establish a first-party Virgin Plus notice confirming the changes.
