On June 18, 2025, Virgin Plus and Koodo each raised the reported price of a 60GB plan by $5 a month, to $45 after autopay discounts, matching Fido’s reported $45 price. That was a dated price snapshot, not a lasting quote: subsequent reports showed different prices, including $50 per month at all three brands in an October 3, 2026 comparison.
What changed in June 2025
MobileSyrup reported on June 18, 2025, that Virgin Plus and Koodo had each increased a 60GB plan by $5 per month to $45 after autopay discounts. The increase brought their reported price in line with Fido’s $45 60GB price at that time. The report also noted that Virgin Plus had briefly raised its price earlier in June, then reversed that move before the change it covered. MobileSyrup’s June 18, 2025 report.
The headline describes Virgin Plus and Koodo raising prices to match Fido; it does not establish that all three carriers made the same $5 increase simultaneously.

The July 2026 report said that specific Virgin Plus increase affected in-market plans and that existing customers did not need to worry unless they wanted to change plans. That statement applies to the change described in that report; it is not a general rule for future price changes or customer notices.

A matching data allowance and headline price do not necessarily mean the plans are equivalent. The June 2025 report described differences in Virgin Plus and Koodo speed caps and calling or perk details, but later configurations changed. Check the terms currently offered to you rather than relying on a feature description from 2025.
