Why did VIPR appoint him?
The appointment brings experience in specialty-insurance software and private-equity-backed businesses to VIPR’s board leadership as the company pursues its next stage of growth. VIPR links Boucher’s background to its aims of reaching more markets, deepening its capabilities and making it easier for clients to obtain information from insurance data.
The company’s announcement describes these as reasons for the appointment and priorities for the business; it does not establish that the appointment has already produced particular results.

What does VIPR do?
VIPR describes itself as an insurance-native technology platform for delegated-authority intelligence. Delegated authority is an arrangement in which an insurer gives another party—often a managing general agent (MGA)—authority to underwrite or administer insurance business within agreed limits. That business generates records and reports that need to be collected, checked and managed.
VIPR says its solutions cover compliance and onboarding, data ingestion and processing, workflow management, and analytics. Its platform processes bordereaux: structured reports containing policy, premium and claims information for insurance programs. In its investment announcement, VIPR says the platform transfers, standardizes, validates and reconciles program data, and characterizes its evolution from a bordereaux-processing tool into an end-to-end data and workflow platform.
Rank #3
VIPR reports that more than £10 billion in gross written premium flows through its platform annually. This is the company’s reported figure in its 29 September announcement, not an independently verified market statistic.
What did Bridgepoint Growth invest in, and when?
Bridgepoint Growth became VIPR’s majority shareholder in a transaction completed in July 2026, according to VIPR’s 3 September investment announcement. The company did not disclose the financial terms. VIPR said the investment would support its product roadmap, existing insurance-native AI capabilities and international expansion.
