Vicky Kaushal said watching Katrina Kaif happy as their son giggled was a moment he wished he could pause and experience for longer. In a conversation shared on the YouTube channel of Harit Zaveri Jewellers, he also reflected on how fatherhood has made him feel more sensitive and responsible, according to a report by Hindustan Times.

Kaushal described seeing his wife happy while their child giggled, and said he wanted to stay in that moment longer. Hindustan Times quoted him: “To just see your wife’s happiness in that moment and your child giggling, and you in that moment… You just feel that if you could pause this, you could just live this more… It’s just amazing. And I think it makes you incredibly sensitive as a human being. Also, at the same time, it makes you incredibly responsible as a human being, that now you have to practice what you preach,”

According to the report, Kaushal called fatherhood a “magical experience” that was difficult to explain in words. He reflected on small milestones and everyday moments, including a child’s first cry, giggle, expression and gesture. He also said that he had felt unusually complete during many moments over the preceding ten months.
Why he said fatherhood changed his sense of responsibility
Kaushal said a child learns subconsciously from what they see at home, and that he had begun monitoring his own behaviour more closely so he could be a good example. This was his personal reflection on fatherhood, not parenting advice from an expert.

Hindustan Times reports that the couple announced their son’s arrival on November 7, 2025, and revealed his name, Vihaan Kaushal, in January 2026. The outlet also says they have largely kept him out of public view.
