On the published terms available in 2026, Verpex gives the more detailed and more easily compared WordPress plan listing, with explicit storage, site-count and renewal figures. Hostinger’s UK pricing page adds free migration and a free-domain offer for eligible plans, but it does not set out the same plan limits side by side. Neither provider can be named the faster shared host on the evidence available: the one independent benchmark found tests VPS plans, not the shared or WordPress plans most readers would buy.
Start with market and billing term
A price comparison between these two hosts is only meaningful when both prices come from the same country, the same plan category and the same billing length. The Hostinger figures discussed here come from its UK pricing page, so they apply to the UK market and should not be carried over to other countries without checking the local page. The Verpex figures come from its WordPress plans page as listed renewal prices in dollars. Renewal prices are not a universal checkout quote. Introductory offers, billing duration and promotions can all change what you pay on the first invoice, and the renewal rate you see on a listing may differ from what you are charged at signup.
What Verpex lists for WordPress plans
Verpex’s WordPress plans page lists three tiers. The site limits and storage are the figures that matter most when you are sizing a plan.

#1 Best Overall
Matching a plan to your sites and resources
Choose the plan from your site count first, then check storage against what your sites actually hold.
- One site, modest media: the Basic tier’s single-site limit and 30 GB of NVMe storage fit a single brochure or blog site. Check your current file and database size before you commit.
- Several sites: the Plus tier’s 100-site limit and 50 GB of storage suit a small agency or a person running a handful of projects, provided their combined size stays inside 50 GB.
- Many sites or large libraries: the Premium tier removes the site cap and offers 100 GB, which is the figure to plan around when media libraries are heavy.
Hostinger’s UK pricing page does not state equivalent storage or site-count limits for the shared plans compared here, so a like-for-like limit comparison cannot be made from that page. Ask for those numbers before you compare totals.
Hostinger’s published UK terms
The Hostinger UK pricing page makes two concrete claims that matter to a buyer. It says free website migration is offered. It also describes a free 12-month domain for eligible annual managed hosting, cloud hosting and Website Builder plans. The domain offer is limited to those plan types and to eligible purchases, so it does not automatically apply to every plan on the page. Read the eligibility wording on the checkout screen before assuming the domain is included.

Backups, SSL and migration
Verpex states on its shared hosting page that its shared plans include daily backups, free SSL and migration assistance, and its FAQ says the migration service is free. Its homepage repeats the free migration and free AutoSSL claims. These are vendor statements. Whether your own existing site qualifies for migration help, and how much of the work is done for you, should be confirmed with Verpex before you move a live site.
Rank #3
Hostinger’s UK page states that website migration is free. It does not, on the page reviewed, describe backup frequency or SSL inclusion in the same comparable terms, so those cells in the table below are marked as not stated.
Support access
Verpex’s WordPress plans page lists 24/7 support by email and ticket, live chat and phone. Its reseller page also lists 24/7 support. Hostinger’s UK pricing page links to support resources but does not set out its support channels in a comparable list, so it is not possible to say from that page which channels are available around the clock. If live phone support matters to you, check Hostinger’s current support options directly before purchase.
Rank #4
Verpex reseller and other offerings
Verpex also publishes a reseller page listing cPanel and WHM, white-label controls, 24/7 support and nine server locations. Reseller hosting is aimed at agencies or people who sell hosting to their own clients. It is not a like-for-like alternative to a beginner shared plan, so it should not be used as the basis for a shared-hosting comparison. Hostinger’s comparable reseller or cloud offerings are outside the pricing page reviewed here and are not compared.

What the performance evidence shows
The only independent performance comparison found for this article is the VPSBenchmarks comparison page, last updated 27 August 2026. It describes testing of six VPS plans across web, sysbench, endurance and remote timing categories. Those results describe virtual private server performance under the test conditions the page describes. They do not measure shared hosting or WordPress hosting, which is what most people searching this comparison are buying. The page does not establish a shared-hosting speed winner between these two providers, and no equivalent shared or WordPress plan pair has been independently benchmarked in the material available here.
Best Value
Speed claims from either provider’s marketing should therefore be treated as unverified. If performance is a deciding factor, run a trial on the plan you intend to buy, measure your own pages under your own traffic, and keep the results with your renewal quote.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.A practical way to decide
- Confirm your country, because the Hostinger figures here are UK-specific.
- Count the websites you need to host now and within the next year, then choose the Verpex tier whose site limit covers that number, or check Hostinger’s site limit for the plan you are considering.
- Measure the total size of each site, including media and databases, and compare it with the storage limit.
- Compare the renewal price for the same billing term, and ask what the first-year total will be after any promotion ends.
- Ask whether your existing site is eligible for free migration before you cancel your current host.
- Check the support channels you need, such as phone or live chat, against the current provider pages.
- If performance matters, test your own site on the trial or first billing period before committing long term.

The Bottom Line
For a published-terms comparison in 2026, Verpex is the easier of the two to size against a plan: its WordPress tiers list storage, site counts, renewal prices and 24/7 support clearly. Hostinger’s UK page offers free migration and a conditional free domain but leaves most plan limits and support channels unstated there. Neither provider has been shown to deliver more shared-hosting speed, so choose on site count, storage, renewal cost and migration eligibility, then verify performance on your own site.
