Verizon’s verified holiday phone offers are from its 2025 campaign, not confirmed 2026 deals. In that campaign, qualifying families switching four lines could get select iPhones and Android phones “on us” with Unlimited Welcome; other offers required a new line and a specified plan. The device savings generally came as monthly bill credits, so the phone was not automatically free upfront. Check Verizon’s current offers and the exact terms before signing up.
Verizon’s holiday release was dated November 6, 2025, and updated December 17, 2025. It described offers rolling out “starting today and through the holiday season,” but it does not establish that those deals remain available or that Verizon has announced 2026 holiday promotions.
The examples below are useful for understanding what Verizon advertised in 2025 and the conditions attached. They should not be treated as live prices or offers.
What iPhone and Android phone deals did Verizon advertise?
Verizon advertised a switching offer for a family bringing four lines to Verizon: Unlimited Welcome at $25 per line per month with Auto Pay, plus taxes and fees, and a listed phone on us without a trade-in. The release named these eligible models:

This was a four-line switching offer, not a blanket promise of a free phone to every Verizon customer. Verizon also listed a Motorola Razr on us when adding a new line on Unlimited Ultimate. That offer had a different eligibility condition and should not be confused with the four-line deal.
Verizon’s release did not provide enough information to rank these models as the best phone for every shopper. Compare the operating system, screen size, and intended user, as well as the qualifying plan and total bill. The phone’s advertised value alone does not determine which offer costs less for your household.

What other Verizon holiday offers were included?
The 2025 release also included wearable, accessory, and home-internet promotions. These were specific campaign examples, not confirmation of current availability.

Home-internet customer offers
For new home-internet customers, Verizon listed a Samsung 43-inch Q7F QLED TV, Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G, or Nintendo Switch on us with select home internet plans. The release also described a $200 Verizon gift card with Most Fios TV and a YouTube TV Base plan discount with new 5G Home or LTE Home plans. The exact plan and eligibility terms varied by offer; the 2025 release does not show that these promotions are still available.

Does “free phone” mean no cost?
Often, a carrier’s “free” or discounted phone offer is delivered as monthly bill credits rather than an immediate reduction in the phone’s price. Verizon Support explains that credits offset the cost of a qualifying device over a promotional term; a new line may be required, depending on the offer. Verizon gives 36 months as an example of a device-promotion term. Credits may take one or two billing periods to appear.
Trade-in promotions can have additional requirements, including an eligible plan and a device in good working and cosmetic condition. Verizon says some offers for existing customers require the traded-in device to have been active on a Verizon account for 60 consecutive days. These are examples of common terms, not a substitute for the terms on a particular promotion.

Credits can stop if you cancel the promoted line, pay off the device early, upgrade early, transfer service in some cases, or switch to a plan that does not qualify. Read the specific offer before changing your plan or ending service: leaving before the promotional credits are complete can change the effective cost of the phone.
How to compare a Verizon phone promotion
- Calculate the full plan bill. Check the required number of lines, monthly plan price, Auto Pay condition, and taxes and fees. A per-line price for four lines is not the price for a single line.
- Confirm who qualifies. Determine whether the offer is for customers switching to Verizon, existing customers, or anyone adding a new line.
- Check the phone and plan conditions. Verify the eligible model, required plan, and whether a new line or trade-in is necessary. For trade-ins, check the condition and account-activity rules.
- Understand the credit schedule. Find the promotional term and ask what happens to remaining credits if you pay off the device, upgrade, cancel, transfer service, or change plans.
- Choose for the person who will use the phone. Compare iOS with Android, device size, and the user’s needs instead of choosing only by the advertised handset value.
