AI cloud company Verda announced $189 million (€163 million) in new funding on September 22, 2026. The company described an oversubscribed Series B led by Emergence Capital, alongside additional investment, and said its total funding now exceeds $450 million (€390 million). Verda plans to use the capital to expand compute capacity and develop its cloud platform, including inference services.
How Verda described the funding
In its September 22 announcement, Verda called the financing an oversubscribed Series B led by Emergence Capital, with additional investment. Data Center Dynamics also described the full $189 million as a Series B in its October 5 report. Verda’s announcement does not provide a breakdown of the additional investment or disclose valuation or share-dilution terms, so those details should not be inferred from the headline amount.
Verda said the new financing brings total funding to more than $450 million (€390 million). The funding total is the company’s reported figure.

What Verda plans to do with the money
Verda said the funding will accelerate development of its AI cloud, spanning compute capacity and platform services. The company specifically identified inference as an investment area and said it plans to multiply compute capacity over the next year. Those are forward-looking plans, not confirmation that the expansion has already happened.

Separately, Data Center Dynamics reported a Verda target of more than 250 MW of operational capacity by 2027. That target was not included in Verda’s funding announcement and remains a reported future goal, not present operating capacity.
What Verda’s AI cloud provides
Verda says it was founded in Helsinki in 2020 and manages its technology stack from physical data centers and hardware through its cloud platform and AI research. Its listed services include GPU instances, self-service GPU clusters, serverless containers, and storage. In practical terms, “full-stack” means the company offers infrastructure and cloud software for teams building or running AI workloads, rather than selling consumer graphics cards.

The company says the platform serves AI training and inference needs. Verda founder and CEO Ruben Bryon said the company aims to build a European technology company with AI infrastructure as its foundation and to reduce computing’s carbon footprint worldwide. Those are the company’s stated ambitions.

Verda reported reaching a $165 million annualized revenue run rate in July 2026. This is a company-reported run-rate metric, not an audited revenue figure established by the cited material. It should not be read as $165 million of recognized revenue for a completed year.

Why the round matters—and what it does not establish
The announcement signals Verda’s intention to invest further in compute supply and platform development as demand for AI infrastructure grows. Emergence Capital General Partner Joe Floyd characterized demand for AI compute as “insatiable” and said the supply gap is growing; that is the investor’s view, not an independently established market statistic.
The financing announcement does not establish how much of the $189 million is equity versus other investment, Verda’s valuation, or the share dilution involved. Nor do the capacity plans prove that future facilities or services are already operational.
