PSA International and Granite Asia have launched the G&P Strategic Innovation Fund, a stated US$50 million vehicle that will co-invest with Granite Asia’s existing funds in technology companies serving ports, logistics and global supply chains. The partners say they want to help promising technologies move from pilots into practical, scalable use; the launch materials do not identify any investments or confirm deployments.
What is the G&P Strategic Innovation Fund?
The G&P Strategic Innovation Fund is a new investment vehicle launched by PSA International and Granite Asia. Granite Asia’s official announcement, published on 1 October 2026, says the launch was announced in Singapore on 30 September 2026; The Business Times also reported the launch on 30 September. The fund’s stated size is US$50 million.
Its announced remit is technology for ports, logistics and global supply chains. The fund is structured to co-invest alongside Granite Asia’s existing funds, rather than being described as a standalone direct-investment program. The announcement does not explain how co-investment decisions will be made or whether companies can approach this fund independently.

The partners describe a broad technology focus tied to trade and logistics operations. The stated goal is to help promising solutions move beyond pilot projects and into practical, scalable adoption across complex trade ecosystems. That is an objective, not evidence that a company has received funding or that a technology has been deployed.
#1 Best Overall
PSA’s announcement points to its operating footprint and operational expertise as a contribution to the partnership, while Granite Asia brings technology-investment experience. The launch materials do not set out a narrower list of eligible technologies, startup requirements or investment stages. AI, automation and supply-chain technology are mentioned as relevant themes in the partners’ rationale, but the announcement does not establish them as formal eligibility criteria.
What has been disclosed—and what has not?
- Disclosed: the fund name, its stated US$50 million size, its partners, its broad sector remit and its co-investment structure.
- Not disclosed: portfolio companies, individual commitments, investment check sizes, stages, geographic restrictions, timing or a startup application route.
- Also not stated: whether the fund has reached a first or final close, its term, its governance or investment-committee arrangements, and a deployment schedule.
As a result, founders cannot determine fit or apply based on the launch announcement alone. Terms from Granite Asia’s broader investment platform or PSA’s international operating network should not be assumed to apply to this fund.

How to read the partners’ scale figures
The launch announcement includes company-profile figures that provide context for the partners, not fund terms or performance measures. PSA says it handled more than 105 million TEUs in 2025 and that its portfolio spans 45 countries, according to the announcement. Those figures describe PSA’s operations and network; they do not establish the fund’s investment geography or results.

Why the partnership matters to technology founders
The arrangement pairs a technology investor with a global port operator. In principle, that combination could connect investment expertise with operational knowledge of logistics environments, where technology may need to work across complex systems. PSA CEO Ong Kim Pong said innovation, automation and artificial intelligence are increasingly important in global supply chains. Granite Asia Senior Managing Partner Jixun Foo described the fund as combining the firm’s investment platform with PSA’s operational scale and supply-chain knowledge.
Those comments explain the partners’ rationale; they do not establish a particular route to customer access, pilot placement or procurement for companies backed by the fund. Founders evaluating the opportunity would need the partners to clarify those points along with the fund’s actual investment terms.
