Why are petrol and diesel prices revised?
Pakistan’s federal petroleum-pricing mechanism incorporates international and supply-chain inputs. Reporting the Petroleum Division’s explanation, Business Recorder said: “The price revision was necessitated by global developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.”

Important date and location limits
- The rates are expressed per litre and relate to Pakistan’s notified national pricing framework.
- No separate city-level values are established here, so do not assume a different rate for a particular city without a local source.
- Weekend or public-holiday handling and any later daily revision should be confirmed from the applicable OGRA notification; secondary reporting is not a substitute for that notice.
