You can stream karaoke songs through karaoke-specific services such as Stingray Karaoke and KaraFun. Depending on the service and your region, you can reach them in a web browser, on a phone or tablet, on a smart TV, through a connected karaoke machine, or through a third-party platform such as Prime Video or Plex. Before you pay, confirm that your device is supported and search for the exact songs you want. This guide covers karaoke-specific services; general music subscriptions are outside its scope.
Three questions to answer first
- Which screen will you sing on: a browser, a phone, a smart TV, or a dedicated machine?
- Do you need full catalog access, or is sampling enough?
- Is this private singing at home, or a public event?
The answers decide which service fits. Public events follow separate licensing rules, which are covered near the end of this guide.
Stingray Karaoke
Stingray offers the widest range of access routes of the two services covered here. Its online page invites visitors to “Explore our massive catalog right from your browser,” and describes a catalog of 100K+ tracks in 40+ languages, with new songs added weekly. These are Stingray’s own figures. Its consumer products page separately describes over 100,000 licensed karaoke songs, with releases every Friday. Treat the catalog size as a promotional claim rather than an independently audited count, and search for your own songs before relying on them.
Browser, app, and TV access
Stingray offers browser streaming, mobile apps, and TV apps. For televisions, its TV pages list apps and partner channels on Samsung, LG, Vizio, Xumo, TCL, and Xiaomi devices or services. TV features can include background customization, lead-vocal control, and song queueing from a phone, with supported providers. Availability depends on your device and region, so confirm your exact model before planning around a specific feature.

Pricing and regional differences
Stingray’s consumer products page says pricing depends on the platform. It also says availability and price on third-party platforms may vary by region. Free availability is offered through some cable operators and in-car services. Because these terms vary, this guide does not quote a price. Check the listing for your device before subscribing.

What a subscription adds
Offline mode and key or tempo changes are subscription features. KaraFun says more than 400 new songs are added automatically each month, according to its subscription page (accessed 2026). One account can be installed on multiple devices, but it can play on only one device at a time. If two people need to sing on separate screens at once, a single account will not cover both. Confirm the account and subscription requirements before you rely on it for concurrent sessions.
KaraFun Stage for venues and events
KaraFun Stage is a separate professional product that runs on Mac, Windows, or in a browser. KaraFun says it includes a commercial karaoke license for its catalog, but its Stage page makes clear that the public performance license is a separate requirement:

Setting up the room
Streaming karaoke needs a display, a sound system, and a way to sing into. KaraFun’s Stage guidance describes a computer-based setup with a display, a sound system, and one or more microphones. A phone or tablet can serve a single singer. The exact connections, and whether you need separate speakers, depend on the equipment you already own.

For a dedicated setup, Stingray lists Singing Machine as a karaoke product line, and says its streaming service is available on Wi-Fi-connected machines. Compatibility is model-specific. A brand being listed does not mean every model supports every service, so confirm the exact machine and app combination before you buy.
Stingray Download Store closed in June 2026
Stingray’s Download Store closed in June 2026. Songs you saved earlier remain usable on compatible devices. You can no longer buy songs or redownload earlier purchases through the store, and Stingray directs users to its subscription service and connected machines instead. Do not treat the closed store as a current place to buy songs. Stingray’s support notice has the details.
Private singing and public performance
Keep private singing and public performance separate. KaraFun says its Premium plan is for private use among friends or family. A consumer subscription is not the right product for a public event.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor public performance, KaraFun Stage includes a commercial karaoke license for its catalog. The public performance license is not included. It remains the responsibility of the customer, which in practice means the organizer or venue. Stingray’s pages cited here do not describe public-event licensing, so do not assume a consumer plan covers a public setting. Check applicable local licensing requirements and the current terms of the service before you host.
Quick Recap
Before you subscribe
- Search for your must-have songs, artists, and languages in the service’s catalog, not just its headline track count.
- Confirm that your exact device and region are supported on the current listing.
- Count how many screens will play at the same time.
- Decide whether the event is private or public, and match the plan to that use.
