The clearest difference between the UNISOC T760 and MediaTek Helio G99 is cellular connectivity: the T760 is reported as related to UNISOC’s 5G-capable T8100 platform, while MediaTek identifies the Helio G99 as a 4G chipset. Published benchmark aggregates also put the T760 ahead in the cited tests, but the samples are uneven and do not establish how two specific phones will perform.
UNISOC T760 vs Helio G99 specifications
The comparison below combines MediaTek’s official Helio G99 specifications, UNISOC’s official T8100 specifications, and NanoReview’s reported T760/T8100 naming relationship. UNISOC’s source is for the T8100, not a directly retrieved T760 product page, so those specifications should not be treated as proof that every T760-branded device implements the platform identically.
| Specification | UNISOC T760 / T8100 | MediaTek Helio G99 |
|---|---|---|
| Cellular capability | 5G is specified for T8100; T760’s relationship to T8100 is reported by NanoReview | 4G platform |
| CPU | T8100: 4× Cortex-A76 + 4× Cortex-A55 | 2× Cortex-A76 up to 2.2GHz + 6× Cortex-A55 up to 2.0GHz |
| Manufacturing process | 6nm, per UNISOC T8100 | TSMC N6, 6nm-class |
| GPU | Mali-G57 quad-core | Mali-G57 MC2 |
| Memory and storage support | LPDDR4X; eMMC 5.1 or UFS 3.1 options | LPDDR4X; UFS 2.2-class storage |
| Display support | Not stated on the cited T8100 page | Up to 120Hz, per MediaTek |
Sources: MediaTek’s Helio G99 specifications, UNISOC’s T8100 product page, and NanoReview’s comparison. These are platform capabilities, not a guarantee that a phone maker includes every option. Phone design determines the actual memory, storage, display, and other components.

Is the UNISOC T760 faster than the Helio G99?
In NanoReview’s displayed aggregate results, the T760 scores higher in both cited tests. The numbers are not the outcome of a controlled test of phones with otherwise identical hardware; they summarize different numbers of samples, particularly in Geekbench.

Source: NanoReview’s T760 vs Helio G99 comparison, accessed in 2026. The sample counts shown on the page differ substantially, and the T760 Geekbench result represents only three samples. Treat the results as a snapshot of published aggregates, not a definitive ranking for every device or workload.
Why benchmark sites may not agree
Results vary by benchmark version, source, and the devices contributing data. For example, the retrieved 91mobiles comparison reports Helio G99 benchmark values but shows no T760 benchmark value. Do not combine figures from different sites or versions into a direct percentage comparison unless their methods and test conditions are demonstrably comparable.

Which chipset should you choose?
Choose based on 5G needs first
If 5G is a requirement, the T760/T8100 family has the stronger chipset-level case in the cited sources: UNISOC specifies 5G for T8100, and NanoReview reports the T760 naming relationship. Confirm the exact phone’s supported network bands and regional variant; a chipset label alone does not guarantee compatibility with your carrier.

Compare the actual phones, not just the chip names
For a 4G phone, the Helio G99 remains a relevant platform. The available specifications and benchmark aggregates do not show that every G99 phone costs less, uses less power, or is a better purchase. The phone’s cooling, RAM, storage, display, battery, camera implementation, software, and update commitment all affect the experience. Compare the exact models and their regional specifications before deciding.

What these comparisons can and cannot tell you
The published material establishes platform specifications and benchmark-page aggregates; it does not establish a universal real-world winner or a controlled phone-to-phone performance result. Gaming frame rates and responsiveness can change with the phone’s thermal design, software, game version, and settings. A higher chipset benchmark score is useful context, but it cannot substitute for checking the performance and features of the particular handset you plan to use.
